Tennessee Softball 2025

Didn't see Berzon when I just checked, but did see that D-Rod was in...
Expected. With Bella playing the latter part of last year many around the program felt she was being pushed out. Honestly thought last season she would have opted for the portal. Wouldn’t be surprised to see her at Auburn.

I’d anticipate a few more before it’s over
Ahlin and Orsini have graduated, do they look elsewhere? Orsini has relationships with Auburn from her Bolt days before Malveauxs arrived and has her major as a masters.

Others to watch
Bella - she was recruited to play a lot. It was down between us and Auburn (old staff). Not sure she’s good in current role heading into her Jr year.
Brown- better players ahead of her and coming in.
Barnhart - close to graduating for teaching
Tanner - better pitchers coming in and Nuwer came out on top.
Sage- this is my wouldn’t surprise me if she opted to leave to be a #1 and not a #2-3. I expect her to return and haven’t heard otherwise.

She seems to be improving as the year rolls along. Need to keep her.

Here is an article about Sage and Karen. Appears they have a good relationship.

Sage Mardjetko makes Karen Weekly 'emotional' for Tennessee softball | Softball | utdailybeacon.comutdailybeacon.com

I’m sure they do. She’s a solid pitcher with a strong class coming in and Pickens as the #1. She wasn’t the next in always this year. And Karen lets you know where you stand.
Yeah I was hoping this article was a good sign she has locked up the #2 spot and would be staying but nothing is sure in the NIL world now.

Nebraska best hitter is Bahl she has 22 homers this season and a huge average. They have another player with 20 homers and then it levels out some. Certainly it comes down to who hits and plays defense will win the series. She comes in with a 1.56 era and Karlyn is at 0.92. First time we played them they had a huge inning of unearned runs. Defense will be a huge factor.

I think Sage sticks around but who knows. First year in the program and has gotten better as the year has gone on. It’ll be interesting to see who our #2 is next year behind Karlyn.

Orsini debated leaving last year if I’m not mistaken. Wonderful teammate and seems to love being a Lady Vol but she’s never going to get much playing time here, unfortunately. I think if she did enter the portal she might go out West.

Orsini was after her freshman year. Pulled her out when they didn’t get anyone. Charli is awesome.

Ok I knew at some point there had been some talk of her transferring. And I think at that time people were mentioning UCLA, USC, Arizona, Arizona St as potential landing spots for her

Karen is straight up with all players as to their position on the team. They all have a developmental program.
Dude you have no clue, lol

All college coaches lie to bring kids in and to keep players. It’s called, tell them what they want to hear. You really think Dez would still be here if she was told she wouldn’t play this year and Jamison the year before. SMH at the stuff you put on here…..

With respect, all Coaches do not think like you do .....

Respectfully, you're the one that doesn't have a clue in this case.

Rodriguez knew what her role was going to be with Mealer, Faw and Dodge in front of her in the middle infield. She stayed to be a part of place she likes and was only a few credit hours away from a degree, which she got a year early last week. Most of those upper-level credits wouldn't have transferred to another school.

You seem to have forgotten that Brockenbrough was playing last year until she was suspended and was passed by while she was out.

Not entirely accurate. Talking with those close to the situation from the Rodriquez side is that she felt she was being pushed out last year in the end (before Dodge). Yes, she loves Tennessee and yes she graduated.

Brockenbrough situation happened early in the season and her playing time was very minimal before she was suspended for a few weeks.

Early graduates
Pannell
Destiny
Amanda Ahlin
Orsini
