Pickens didn't give up 1 ER against them. 5 unearned because of errors. Not to mention that was the 1st game of the season. Nebraska is good and have the best player in the country, but aren't unbeatable. Nebraska and UT have almost identical records, with UT having a much tougher schedule.

Liberty gave up 10 unanswered runs and committed 6 errors in that first game. The wheels came off and their body language signaled defeat. Kudos to them for fighting on to win, which is what I was hoping for.

Now, don’t act like you knew they were going to do what had never been done 🙄

Maybe a rumor, but did LSU pitcher S. Berzon go into the portal today? If this is old news or a rumor let me know. IMO she would be a huge addition to our team next year.

There a lot of speculation that she’ll enter. Who are you letting go for Berzon for a year? It came down to LSU and Florida, Tennessee wasn’t in the picture in HS. She has no connection to Tennessee outside playing at Baylor. Family still lives in Buffalo, NY last I heard.

Yes! It's a huge compliment to both programs that our games are the only ones scheduled (for now, at least) to be aired on ABC. The sports broadcasting powers-that-be obviously believe the Pickens v. Bahl battle is the most compelling in the tournament.

Games are not on ABC, that was a mistake. Our games are 7 ET Friday on ESPN2 and 5 ET Saturday on ESPN. ABC has a UFL football doubleheader on Saturday that's been scheduled there for months.

It’s a contractual obligation, they alternate carrying the playoffs with Fox, and the contract promises over the air distribution of a certain percentage of the games. It’s unfortunate, but they are doubling up on the number of ABC games at the World Series.
