Pickens 5 Ks in 2 innings. Shutting out the Buckeyes is impressive. And 2 games and not allowing 1 HR from OSU even more impressive. Sage was fantastic. Nebraska and Bahl will be tough to beat, but should be must see TV. GLV!!

I’m thrilled the Lady Vols won without any Pannell heroics. Too often it’s a “our offense goes as Pannell goes,” which can mess with team psyche if she’s not on. But they’ll have fresh in their consciousness that nobody has to panic if TP isn’t hot with the bat. Others can just as easily slip into that role.

From all I’ve seen, Tennessee had the best overall performance in a regional.

No revenue sport national titles in 85 years.

Their dream hire in football turns out to be a nightmare and they have to pay him $75 million to go away.

Baseball team comes up one game short of ending the drought, then has their coach poached by their archrival.

Then the new guy fails to even make the NCAAT after being consensus preseason #1 in the country (assuming they don’t win it all in Hoover, at least).

Softball team on the verge of losing in regionals as the #1 overall seed.

At least they have women’s tennis I guess.
