Tennessee Softball 2025

Did Karen fall out of her rocker, this lineup she put out on the field was almost as bad as the one she started against Oregon.

Starting the 3 worst hitters on the team with Katie, Faw and Doyle. The team’s not hitting so we’re gonna put the three worst bats in the lineup.

I’m not gonna start Pickens. Makes no sense. Just starter her and go for the must win. At that point, let Sage finish it let her have confidence now she’s got zero confidence because she’s looking over her shoulder every time she pitches.

This clown show we had this series for umpire’s has to be the worst crew that I’ve ever seen on a softball field SEC conference needs to do something and remove these guys and if not, the coaches should get their challenges back if they win them.

Some of yall need to chill. This is major college softball and the SEC is a gauntlet. Sometimes you have a rough weekend. Here are the facts from this weekend across the country:

17 out of the Top 25 teams in the rankings lost a game
LSU, the #3 team in the country, got run ruled 11-3 by UGA. Their star pitcher, Berzon (1 of best in the country) gave up 9 earned runs
OU lost 3-1 to the 2nd worst team in the league, who is barley over .500 in Mizzou
UCLA, the #5 team in the country lost 7-4 to an avg. at best Iowa team
Alabama & Texas A&M slugged it out in 2 games, 5-4 & 9-7
According to some of you guys every coach on this list should be fired.

We are #15 in RPI & have plenty of time to gel and get high quality wins on the resume. Take 3 deep breathes. It will help your overall health.
Your wrong, not every coach just Karen

Kenzie can hit herself out of a water paper sack so she’s giving a little bit more leeway. But still a terrible play.
I would be more critical of a routine pop up, that is rec ball stuff. But this is what happens when there is a revolving door at many positions. Girls are having to adjust when it should be routine.. Need a set line up by now.

Are you not aware some of these posters are the bestest coaches EVAR!

Actually Kinsey left Washington because she wanted to play her primary position at 2B and that’s what she thought she would do here at Tennessee. She’s played a great CF all year but maybe this team would’ve looked different if she played at 2B all year. But for that to happen Karen would’ve had to cut the cord with Faw and we all know how that would’ve went.

I did stayed at a Holiday Inn Express BUT I’m not a coach.

Can someone help explain why we are striking out so much. It’s not like we have seen that many top pitchers yet.

Don’t see any comment from you when Kinsey dropped a ball. Yet she has played that position all season.
I still think our best infield is Mealer at ss and Destiny at 2b. Are they perfect? No but they are the best we have as fielding hitting together. And yes a horrible drop by Kinsey.

I’ve been wondering this a lot while reading through the this thread throughout the season. Do we as fans tend to hold Faw to a different standard than the rest of the players because of what Karen said about her coming in her freshman year? Yes she makes plays that I wonder how did she mess that up she has made some plays that I think are great plays. I tend to notice people on this board make more comments about her errors than other players. I see Mealer or Rodriguez make the same errors as Faw and nobody says a word. So I’m just curious if we all heard what Karen said and expect her to be perfect? With that being said I think if you talk hitting yes Mealer and Rodriguez are your better options, but I still think overall I’d prefer Mealer at short and Faw at second. But then again that’s just my thoughts. Was curious if anyone else agreed that people give have more to say about her because of Karen or if people really think she’s just that bad of a fielder?

Which explains her arm and getting subbed.

Stats don’t lie, Faw has lead the team in errors the last 2 years and she can’t hit. Karen putting her on a pedestal over Shipman and Ivy Davis is very disrespectful towards the legacy players. She wouldn’t be starting on any other team in the SEC so it does feel like Karen is forcing her in the lineup and the fans see that and want the best 9 out there and that’s not happening.

Not a different standard her play has been way below average both in the field and at the plate. She was doing ok with obp but that is starting to drop as well. I don't care if we play her, but where she is not our best shortstop and is not our best second baseman that is just from her play on the field this season.

That's absolutely nonsense. Fielder was recruited here as a CF to replace Kiki Milloy. She was announced as an OF when we signed her.

Faw is second to last in fielding percentage. Destiny is last a few points below. Ut is 113 in fielding percentage. Karlyn cannot not drag us far it we don't field the ball better. Not to mention start hitting better. A lot work to do before postseason. It is going to be tough going if we don't improve. To waste a generational pitcher is not something I want to see again

So based on the stats. What you are saying is that Dez has a lower fielding percentage with 15 chances than Faw does with 70… You either contradicted yourself or are proving my point.

Well if you saw any of the OU Wichita St game last night, my Sooners pitching were a complete disaster. No telling what this weekends matchup will bring.

According to some on this board your Sooner coaching staff should be fired for winning a mid-week game 19-16 and having to use your ace pitcher 2 days before playing the Lady Vols.

I guess UF's AD should fire Tim Walton as well for losing 4-0 to 21-14 (below .500 in Big 12 without OU & Texas) avg. UCF team.

Good to see UGA put it on Okie St and chase their ace out of the circle. Proving to be a great series win on the road for the Lady Vols to start conference play. Looking forward to this weekend!

It is facts that Destiny has the lowest fielding percentage on the team currently. Faw is second to last. We are not a good fielding team at this point. How am I contradicting myself? What exact point are you making?
