Tennessee Softball 2024

Now that her career is over, Shipman left because she got tampered with and Alabama got away with it because technically a player initiated contact and not the coach.
Really? oh well. Hate it that Montana got injured, but could you imagine what would be like at happens Shipman would have played world series. For us.
(aphasia tic, on the last explanation lol)

So she couldn’t play for a new pitching coach at OSU…but had no problem transferring to play for a new pitching coach at OU….

Sounds like a perfectly logical reason.

Maxwell said in an interview that she had done her time at Oklahoma State and that the pitching coach change was a deciding factor on leaving. OU was the leading landing spot due to her familiarity with OU players playing on the USA team and respect for the program. Besides, as a pitcher, why wouldn’t Maxwell want to learn more under the mentorship of Coach Rocha?

All of the data for the stats that we can see, whether it’s on UT site, or StatBroadcast are input by the official scorer, usually an SID or a tournament official at one of the big tournaments. At some of those tournaments, the home team’s SID is will be responsible for doing the stats for the game.

Some official scorers input pitch by pitch, which will then show you total pitches and strikes in stat broadcast, others only input by at bat, adding what the count was when the AB concluded. Most coaches don’t care because their analytics person keeps a separate pitch by pitch, based on the type of pitch called in the video scouting program.

Thanks, don't like the answer, of course you're just the messenger. ✔😀

UT might have to do some re-arranging of the game-times schedule of the upcoming Tennessee Classic this weekend because of rain in the forecast on Friday. Hopefully the rain will show up later Friday evening and be done by Saturday morning.

Big game coming up tonight between Georgia and Clemson. Starts at 6pm on SEC+, or the firestick or Roku stick. Game was delayed to a 6pm start I assume because of the weather.
Valerie Cagle should be pitching for Clemson. Should be a good one to watch. We'll see just how good Georgia is.
Almost forgot that the Lady Vols play Clemson on Tuesday and Georgia thrice in April. This gives us fans a chance to scout both teams in advance.

how much has Goodnight batting last. Usually she leads off, I think?
They might be using her to anchor the bottom of the lineup. She came through in the clutch tonight. Georgia got it done tonight. Hope we play as well against Clemson on Tuesday. We'll probably get Cagle also, although they may pitch the lefty blonde against us. They know we don't do well against cross-fire lefties. But that may not matter this time around because we don't have many lefty hitters in our lineup anymore.
