Let's overreact based on one weekend playing six games in three days. The pitching has been more than good enough in all but two games so far this year. CSF was an aberration. UCLA was an offense that has been great all year so far facing a pitcher that has thrown 14 innings the last two days, something she won't be asked to do again this year.ITS GOING TO BE A LONG YEAR

Last year was the most prolific offense in Tennessee history and we lost 1 full time (Donihoo) and 1 part time (Beatuae) starter. And they were the two most inconsistent hitters in the lineup. Everyone else didn't forget how to hit. They will be fine.

Sadly Oklahoma is head and shoulders above everyone again. Their pitching is a little down, but they are just mashing teams. Their freshman are about 4 times the size of Faw. That is why our start does have me a little concerned. We do not match up with the elite teams at present. Maybe we will in the end. Our lineup is as noted just not consistent top to bottom even against so so pitching. Hopefully that will improve. We are a two pitcher team against quality teams but they are very good pitchers. Long season yet but we are going to have to play much better against the better teams in the league.
Amazing. Hats off to them. Dang it!!I think it’s mind-boggling that a Division 1 softball team can win 67 games in a row. No matter how good they are, you just figure somewhere along the line in one game the hitters won’t show up, the pitching might be sub-par, errors might be made in the field BUT they just keep winning. Just gotta tip your cap. I’m just glad we got a few of their players that have helped us: Zaida, Mackenzie, and Sophia.
A couple of times they snatched victory from defeat. Got down to their last out and last strike. Their players always come through uncanny how they do it so often.I think it’s mind-boggling that a Division 1 softball team can win 67 games in a row. I agree with needing to improve clutch hitting, but we're also not hitting well in general (with the exception of just a few players). Regarding the need for better clutch hitting, it would be an improvement if at times we'd simply put the ball in play. There's been too many K's and reverse K's with runners in scoring position.Somehow have to turn the clutch hitting around. Because we are hitting just not when we need to get a hit. Getting a lot of runners on base and leaving them there when we play the better teams. We had 8 hits they had 9 and they get six runs we get two. Clutch hitting has to be a priority going forward.
I’m not saying they’re going to step back to the middle of the pack, but the machine will have a much more difficult time in the SEC.Be nice to win the SEC this year before the Sooner machine arrives.
