Vanderbilt historically doesn’t do well in this Tournament. They have been to the Finals in Omaha as many times as they have in Hoover under Corbin.
yes they look to be struggling....... Face it we have basketball over them right now and thats it and it blows

Dang! The SEC really has made the Conference Tourney meaningless. You either have to sit your top 3 starters out for the last regular season series or they are pitching on 2-4 days notice. And winning the last regular season series apparently means more to the NCAA Committee than how you do in the Conference tournament.

So, you are basically left with teams starting talented freshmen who are the weekend starters of the future or Srs who are getting a career achievement award for staying with the program for 4 years. The top starters that do pitch are on a low pitch count so they will be ready for the NCAAs that start 4 or 5 days after the tournament championship game.

Other than the money it brings in (mostly TV) why even have a conference tournament?

Your time lines regarding starters aren’t accurate. Most starters this week are pitching on full rest and they all will be pitching on full rest next week.

I'm tired if some if our so called fans. Anyone agree?

Right here. Some of our fans are just smh worthy. And it crosses all sports.

Football - look I didn't care for Jones, I never thought he'd be the man and the jury is still out on Pruitt. But just 3 seasons ago we finished 9-4. Not where we want to be but certainly better than the Dooley years. And if after 5 years the best Pruitt has done is 9-4, maybe put it in more perspective this time?

Basketball - Barnes has us in the NCAAT in 3 year after the dumpster Tyndall left us. Most of us thought it would be longer, and now we're whining because we didn't do well enough. Sure be disappointed, but perspective much?

Baseball - see this thread. 15 freakin years since our last NCAAT, and we're whining about losing an SECT game? Seriously?

Lady Vols BBall - ......ok this complaining is pretty warranted.

Not teams like Tennessee who only get to play in the first day of the tournament. The starter for Thursday and last series of year has only 4 days rest until pitching 4 innings on the following Tuesday (Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon).
