Tennessee DL Darel Middleton was arrested this morning on two charges.

Oh, child I'm not putting you on ignore, I'm refusing to "raydar" your 'riceism. any further. Meanwhile:

There will be peace in the valley, some day
There will be peace in the valley
There'll be no sadness, no sorrow
No trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley, some day

Yes, modified, selectively.

Ah the go to racist response. Nice original

And you are still proposing a punishment that doesn't appear to fit the crime in this instance. If he'd put the guy in the hospital or sexually assaulted the girl then you take it to that level. The report seems to be little more than a scuffle. Was anyone injured or treated?

Sit aside the domestic charge.
I have no problem telling a 23 year old adult who was arrested for public intoxication bye.

Public intoxication and domestic assault... If I’m Pruitt I ask him to tell me straight up if this is true or not. If it’s true then he’s gone. We need guys that are dedicated to winning and this does not help us win. Have to make an example out of someone and we want guys that aren’t going to compromise our mission.
Smdh. You believe in fairy tales....

So if a athlete is forced to go to another school that is equal to the death penalty?
Are you being obtuse or do you really not understand the concept of an analogy?

And that's where you and I differ. If the story is true and he shoved her to the ground twice then find another school.
You can have that opinion... but don't try to act like you are taking the moral high ground because you're not. The punishment you propose does not fit the crime unless it is significantly worse than what's been reported.
How many times did we hear about this kid being a problem in high school?
Don't know. Waiting on you to back that claim up. I honestly don't remember the kid's recruitment or him being a problem.

Hold your brakes. The Domestic Violence industry is a multi-billion dollar racket that incentives false accusations, false arrests and crazy women to lie in order to destroy their man. Anyone who assumes that a charge of Domestic Violence is true in today's politicized corrupt environment is very naive.

This happens all the time. They are all still young men. I almost expect this to happen with “someone” every year.
This does not and should not happen all the time. A 23 year-old drinking is not a concern to me, but pushing his girlfriend to the ground twice is not behavior that should be acceptable for young men or anyone else. According to the KnoxNews article, his girlfriend was noted as being visibly scared after the incident.

My response is written based upon the media story. If the facts indicate the story was inaccurate, then good for DM. If the facts are as written, DM should be suspended or worse.

That's even more stupid... and I haven't touched a drop in over 30 years. Don't recommend drinking much less drunkenness. But he's a college kid. Thank goodness you weren't my ROTC commander when I was in school. I've done pretty well in life in part because they showed some patience with me. They had a few occasions where they could have pulled my scholarship and changed the trajectory of my life.

A 23 year old is not a kid. He's an adult. And when you are representing an organization that behavior is not acceptable. And if your ROTC commander allowed you to shove women down repeatedly in a drunken rage then what does that say for him. I'm guessing he didn't

Take a peak at his thread in the recruiting forum.

And hyperbole in analogy is not persuasive.
And who put you in charge of what actions deserve what consequences?

I should have qualified that domestic assault can be a number of things. He may not have beaten her silly, or beat her at all; it could be unlawful restraint or some other forceful act, but none of them are good. He has an extremely narrow window under which he *might* do penance and remain at UT.

The absolute best outcome is that the claim is found to be fabricated.

Just in - here's the incident: Tennessee football's Darel Middleton arrested on two charges
Domestic Assault can also be verbal, slamming a car door, hitting a wall or throwing your hat in an angry or threatening manner. Have to wait until the facts are known.

Na, if banks can be back according to some on here then Middleton is solid. There is no video of him threatening or hitting anyone so he be back by Florida. All sarcasm here folks.
Nowhere near the same allegations...no sarcasm.

One’s background noise...the other is real violence.

I don’t think you understand what I’m saying.... I’m saying it always happens with a football player from any university getting arrested... every year. I wasn’t promoting domestic violence. I was saying that at every school usually every year that someone is getting arrested. That’s all....

But...the post you replied has a link stating it wasn't slamming a door/throwing a hat, but shoving his GF to the ground, twice.
Even if she's also 6'7" and 310 lbs., that's a problem.

Looks like Pruitt's recurring has been better than I thought. Lets get this guy in the "indefinitely suspended until Florida week" column and XV-nulla
