Tennessee 12.5 favs over the gators

Do you all think that your players are ready for the expectation that have been set on them?

I ask this because no Vol team has had expectations like this, in the last 5-10 years. How do you think you're team will respond when they have been patted on the back and told how great they are going to be, for the last 8 months?

I only ask this because it seems like UGA gets the same love every year and they can't live up to it.

As for Hurd he going to run 20+ MPH on a treadmill and do one legged squats.

Expectations won't be what wins or loses games.

Play on the field will decide the outcome.

They will work harder rather than coast due to the raised expectations. They haven't had enough success to coast either and they know that.

Y'all should be glad to be able to expect a competitive game.

See you in Knoxville.

Go Vols!

I think that starts with the head guy (Jones). It then filters through the staff and then on to the players. Time will tell if they (top to bottom) can handle more than just expecting a bowl game.

I think the outcome of this game will be evident by half time. Vols up by 2 touchdowns. Of course I could be wrong.

I like the fact the Gators are flying under the radar this year. We are ranked # 34 by Phil Steele. All the experience our young guys got last year and still coming out with a 10 win season shows that we finally have a winning coach.

79 days and counting until 9/24!

This is coming from a guy who in a previous thread has praised Del Rio before he has taken a single snap and also all but guaranteed TN loses to Florida 27 to 9.

I think our guys are going to be fine. They can handle expectations. There have been expectations for them since they signed the NLI when they came here. And by the way, good luck holding our offense to 9 points in Neyland Stadium. LOL

You like being #34? Well get used to it.

You must have forgotten the last time the game was played in Neyland. :thud:

Once again, I will reiterate exactly what I said to you in another thread. How are you comparing 2014, the year TN had one of it's most anemic and horrible offenses in recent memory, to 2016? It doesn't equate.

That is such a horrible comparison. Please tell me you aren't actually dumb enough to believe these two teams are anywhere near the same?

Well he's a battered vol fan like you that suffers from a disease called fear.

Impartial observers don't have a problem with it. Tennessee is going to be a lot better in 2016 than they have in 15 years. While Florida might be as bad as they've been in the last 15 years.

Rational people see the makings of a blowout.

Only battered fans like you are scared of the expectation.

You talk a lot, but you don't really say much, do you?

Unlike you, Hubbs has been around the program in a professional capacity for nearly a quarter century iirc. He has an intimate knowledge of the culture, the mood and mindset of the program as an insider. I'll take his thoughts and opinions a thousand times over those of a flaky, disloyal "fan" who bails on the team/program as soon as a white QB is under center or when they struggle to make a bowl game.

But does he watch a lot of football? How many hours per week does he spend on Hudl? Has he ever tortured himself and re-watched the 2015 UF game?
