What happened to the passion and the thrill that one receives from watching their home state school play football and one day dreaming to be able to take those glorious childhood dreams and make them come true? There is an unbelievable amount of talent in the state this year and all the great players look like they are jumping ship. Is there no passion throughout the state for Tennessee Football anymore? Is 75% of the great state of Tennessee fair weather UT fans and bandwagon fans for anyone whose in a title run? Where is the loyalty?

Kids owe nothing to the state of Tennessee, they should go to whichever schools fits them best and whichever school makes them happy.. they are the ones who have to live with it.. if it is Tennessee GREAT. If not, thats the way it goes. No worries.

Who wants to go to Tennessee for another coaching change /rebuilding? Look at kid's and parents comments. When the natives are restless people RUN. When we get stable they'll come.

They don't owe anything to the school but if your from Tennessee you should have a sense of pride and honor in your state and your school. You don't know where you are going unless you know where you came from. Where are the kids that are extremely athletic and have the same amount of passion as we do on volnation

If we dont show stability this year, it will be another 3-4 years for UT to have a chance at being back on top. Another coaching change (Dooley fan or not) is just another tragic loss for the football program and then again its back to the drawing board.

Who among these are kids we are recruiting heavily and missing on? We get most of the instate kids that we offer early and recruit heavily. We miss on a select few that we really wanted. I get the feeling most of the ones you are talking about are players who didn't generate major interest from the talent evaluators on our staff either because they were recruited over or we were solid at that position and didn't have a need.

1. No great seasons since they were in middle school.
2. Every state has players leave the state to play. We don't usually notice because we lack high quality in-state recruits. This year, we notice.
3. Some are determined to leave state, just because they have always wanted to get away.
4. Perceived job insecurity of our head coach.
5. Desire to play in the NFL, which successful programs, be it right or wrong, convince players they can do more easily.

Solution:
A. win games. It will help points 1, 4, and 5.
B. plunder other states. Points 2, & 3.

Wait.......what about all of those GA, FL, NC, SC, VA kids who come to UT? Huh? They may be traitors, but we love them.

Exactly. We demand our kids stay loyal to UT, but have no problem plucking kids out of neighboring states. Unreal.

I mean no disrespect but this sounds like some of our fans who get upset when a highly rated instate kids decides to play ball for an out of state school.

These boys have earned the right to choose where they want to play.

Is this a serious question? These kids are deciding on college. They should go where they feel comfortable not where the fans want them to go. And Fade makes a GREAT point...finally ;)
