U do when u have nothing to play for SON. U would rather attempt to beat USCjr instead of moving on from a guy that may lose to them anyway?? What kinda sense does that make?U keep bringing up the NFL but this has nothing to do with the NFL. U dnt even know how many games we will play so this aint a typical season SON. The fact that the whole team can return next year gives u a mulligan this year so u should get all of your younger guys ready for the future. Suppose we only get through 4-6 games this year. By your logic we wouldnt have gotten any young guys ready to play. Please dnt ever go into coaching.

You always have something to play for. You try to win every game...no matter how many there are. Anything short of that defeats any purpose. By YOUR logic you’re setting up your team to LOSE in the future. Losing begets losing. I’m glad the SON chapped your sensitive losing azz...SON. Let’s both stay out of coaching.

We aint won 10 games in over a decade yet we still roll in top 25 classes every year stop it. That means the kids aint worried about what u did before they got there.

Progress TOWARDS something...non-smart guy! Check any interview and the commit will say they believe Pruitt is “building something”. You can’t sell that by going backwards. And we didn’t land a top 10 class after the 5-7 season...it was AFTER we WON two more LAST season. You’re right, the best recruits don’t wait around...they sign on to win NOW.

You can still sell 5-7 after year 1 on a vision for the future and early playing time, but going into years 3&4 recruits gotta start seeing results. Look at all the recruits that didn’t come here because we couldn’t get over the hump. Yeah Butch got us some top 10 classes with zero top 10 finishes. Looks like Trevor Lawrence and every other guy that could’ve/ should’ve been a Vol is gonna be finishing with multiple top 4 finishes and championships. Guys like Ty Simpson can’t be the next Trevor Lawrence or Tee Higgins and win somewhere that’s not Tennessee, we have to be full speed ahead. Imo we need to beat at least 1, hopefully 2 of the top 5 opponents we have this season. We play 5 top 13 teams.

No. USCe is a must-win game just to set the 2020 over/under at 5-5. Good as he may be, great as he may get, there's no way HB is in "SEC-shape" at this point. Find our best out of the QB's with 2019 under their belt, even if...(sigh)...it's JG, and there's your starter for the USCe game. Who knows, maybe JG has finally made the great leap we've been hoping for. But in any event, you don't roll HB out against a Muschamp defense, on the road, in the first game of his UT career.

Do this right. Roll out a serviceable QB; a solid run game (OL should be good); and a tough defense. The 2020 season will have an asterisk beside it no matter what. Don't take a chance on wasting the debut, and risking the future, of what may prove to be the best QB that UT has had in a long while.

I go with this. Even though HB does not lack for confidence, I don't think you start him game one on the road and put him in a situation that could affect his confidence in any way.

Its bc we playing an all conference schedule. Its highly unlikely that we win the SEC outright this year when we gotta play the top 2 east teams and 3 of the top 4 west teams tbh. On top of that its no guarantee that we even play all 10 games. I didnt even take the big10 or Pac12 into consideration. I just know we are not currently a national title contender, we got 1 of the hardest schedules out, may or may not play in front of any fans, & dnt know if we will get to play all 10 games. U add to the fact that the season doesnt count towards eligibility and that makes this season basically a development year. I know we should still try to win every game next year and im not disputing that with anyone. At the same time if we can get these younger guys development to another level we should take advantage considering 80% of the team will be back in 2021.

Dude u talking like USC jr is a top teir program. They havent even been middle of the road. U wanna talk about talent well lets use the timeline from 2015 til now which is enough time to roll a full recruiting class through your program. Since 2015 USCjr is 29-34 while we are 35-28. We only had 1 class ranked outside the top 17 and that class was ranked 21st. In that same time frame USCjr has had only 1 top 20 class and that class was ranked 18th. These are facts and dnt throughout transfers bc CJP still has a boatload of botch's recruits on the roster right now as we speak. Bottomline we are more talented then USCjr and have been for quite some time so JG going 1-2 vs them cant be blamed on how talented the roster was. Hell we had a freshman come in and spark the team to a W. USCjr is the team that started Botch's downhill spiral bc thats when the team quit on him. That's all coaching nothing to do with talent we werent overmatched.
