Used to be weird laws in Utah like every two drinks you buy in a restaurant/bar, you have to order food with the drinks. So you would see some drunks with 6 or 8 plates of food stacked up on their table.
Also, most bars, except the Chillis or Hooters type are private. So you have to buy a membership or get signed in by someone.
Now I haven't done any serious drinking in Utah in several years so I don't know if these laws have changed.
Provo altitude is 4549 feet which is significant but not real bad. Denver 5280 ft, Boulder 5430 ft, Colorado Springs 6035 ft, and Air Force Academy 6200-6500 feet are much more challenging for athletes.
