Tee Martin

Nah, the only hate here is you. Too indoctrinated into the victimized culture to even understand truth. Dr. King would be appalled at the way the black community champions underachievement and plays the pity card everytime they turn around. You are enslaved by your own ignorance.
incorrect. and to try and downplay it using mlk shows ur ignorance. spoken like a true inner-racist. downplaying and trying to reverse it like its a POC issue. gtfoh

Tee Martin was a good QB here and helped win a national title. Tee Martin is not head coach material though. This has zero to do with the color of his skin. If he was HC material, teams with vacancies would be beating down the door.
how do you know and who are you to even determine this?

The assistants are only as good as the HC will allow them. Pruitt micro managed and meddled to much on the offensive side of the ball. I think Tee and Jay are both good coaches and ambassadors for the program. No o e brought in will recruit as hard as these two VFL.
Agree. Pruitt probably meddled and micromanaged too much.... much like Fulmer.

The hate for Tee Martin is unbelievable! WOW!

Man wins the only National Title in the last 50 years......yet u got.......

some fans dont wanna give him credit
some fans dont want him to coach
some fans disrespect him every chance they get

Its not like the man is walking around arrogantly asking folk to kiss his back side. he just trying to coach at his alma mater and make a living. Aint been disrespectful to no one. Some of yall really f'd up and others just flat out against color.
Who tf is bringing up color except you?

Tee is a garbage coach
Has nothing to do with his playing time.
But since you mention it, the defense and o line won that year
He MANAGED to just not cock it up

Plenty of other forums and sites to preach your racist sh*t

His contributions and qualitites as a player have nothing to do with his contributions and qualitites as a coach. You can both respect and appreciate him as a player and still believe he hasn't really earned his keep as a coach. The ideas aren't mutually exclusive.

As for the idea that he loves being here and simply wants to coach football at his alma mater, well why did it take him 2 or 3 overtures from previous coaches to get him to come back home? It isn't as if he jumped at the first opportunity to return, and quite frankly, it could be argued that he strung Tennessee along in the first opportunity he had to return before saying, "No".

As for making it a race issue, get out of here. No one is complaining that 90% of our scholarship players are African-American. The idea that we wouldn't support a minority position coach, especially one who contributed so much as a player at this university, is ridiculous.

Hard for me to understand why Tee Martin thought he was a candidate for Head Coach at Tennessee? He hasn't held that position anywhere else and has been on a lot of losing staffs. Good luck to him but he has no basis to be upset.

He did bring us the fans something Peyton couldn't do. A national championship. I agree that he should have been interviewed at least a show of respect. This thing doesn't pan out we may wind up chasing away every one, fans and former players.
So should jay graham who is a much better coach have been interviewed? Just because someone played here doesnt mean they are ready for the HC job

shyt, i cant tell. he gets hate as the qb. just read a lil bit. some want to give him NO CREDIT! period
It’s not hate to tell the truth. Martin had a good season at QB in 98 and made some plays. He wasn’t the only reason we won the NC. He’s arguably not even one of the top 7-8 QBs in UT history

Lol imagine thinking someone is racist because they disagree with your warped victimization view of the world

It wasn't that. He just wanted an opportunity to interview for the job and was not even given the time of day.
I get that. But do you interview every position coach because they want an interview or do you interview serious candidates for the job.

Tee's history for the last 10 years has been WR Coach with the few years he was given PGC at USC and then OC at USC in his final two years where he was fired. Love the player, but his coaching history says to me he's a great recruiter but schools are hesitant on giving him bigger roles. Tee needs to humble himself and go somewhere small and work up and get away from being the WR coach.

Tee martin will leave UT after this weekend, my opinion is this has been in the works for over a month. He is waiting for his clock to run out on his current contract. His son has been visiting schools in south Alabama hunting for a school to attend. I would be surprised if YOUNG MARTIN goes back to school the rest of this week or Monday. Kaden sent out pics of the schools he is looking at on Social media and I would say that it is a done deal, but I have been surprised before. He is a pretty good HS quarterback but he is an elite baseball player.

Tee Martin is part of our problem. He shouldn’t be allowed to be part of the program, just like Fulmer. Get rid of these has-beens

Didn’t say that either. All I am saying sometimes people don’t see it the same way you do and when you have courage to do whatever it is then sometimes it don’t work in your favor even though you may not have been wrong. Sometimes being right is not always right.
