Tee is out at USC

I'm totally going to use this on my conference call tomorrow

@ OP
No.. why go for mediocre
You're really asking that question about about Vol decision makers??? It's how we've tended to do things the past 10 years...pretty soon, we won't be able to say we've been in the abyss for ten years any more...it'll be going on two decades, so hope we get it straight, or they'll have to cover the upper decks of neyland like it's a Nascar track.

I do think whoever it is, they'll make a good choice. No one was really thinking about other folks he brought in on staff, he just did it. I'm hoping when it's announced, we'll either be, "Awesome", or "Ok, I see where Pruitt's coming from", and not a face plant.

Listen, I have nothing against Tee but I believe people give Tee way too much love for our NC in 98. Remember, it was a really bad turnover in the Arkansas game that gave us the opportunity to even be in that position and it was Travis Henry who carried the team on his back to get that win vs Arkansas. It was a field goal to win the game vs Syracuse that got us a win in that game and it was an interception by Goodrich that gave us the National Championship. No disrespect against Tee because he played a part in it too but why should we reward him with a million dollar job for playing here 20 years ago? Why not Tony Elliott or Jeff Scott from Clemson? Even Tee's own son went to play for Scott and Elliott.

I believe we let Peyton off the hook for not EVER beating Florida & not EVER winning a national championship!

Tee completed something like 23 out of 24 at Syracuse which I believe was a completion percentage record at the time. I agree that Tee is not the choice for O.C. simply because he had his play calling duties removed during 2018 ( ? I believe I read this recently on Volnation).

No Darnold and 26.1ppg......while helton only increased our average from 19 to 22ppg. Tee is alos a great recruiter and no doubt he'd go hard on the recruiting trail for his alma-mater.....no doubt. this is easy! plus he just got canned so he could be gotten for less. save money, 26+ppg oc and a tremendous recruiter! no brainer. what could it hurt?

no point in chasing big names
If Tee wasn’t calling the plays, then what was his job. Maybe developing the QB !!!

In the PAC 12 only UCLA and Cal scored less points per game than USC. That is a glaring recommendation for an OC looking for a new job.

A good player does not equate being a good coach.
