Tee coming home...

Kelly probably is going to take a job as a DC somewhere. For someone who was in no rush to hire a OC bc he didnt wanna pull a coach off the trail, it's telling that Pruitt did it so quickly here. Maybe Johnson and Kelly are out.
Maryland is in the mix for Kelly. Jones reportedly staying at Bama though, hope he brings them the same fortune that he brought us.

I think Kelly's targets are already signed and they're just pulling him to get offensive coaches on the road with Pickens still out there. I'm afraid it's coach Johnson that might be leaving us. Just my thoughts, of course.

I'm sure Bailey knows how to scramble..
But he’s not a DUAL THREAT. Neither was USC’s true freshman QB last season and Chaney’s offense isn’t dependent on that QB ability.

Point was being able to distinguish a QB who says they are one thing but are actually another...so we dont wind up in our current QB situation.

I haven’t seen any type of official announcement that the University of Tennessee has hired Tee Martin.
I’ve seen “reports from sources” that say this is true, but no official announcement. Is this because they have to lose a coach first? Is it because there is still much to be worked out on contract.? Just curious as to what folks think?

The scouting services said JG was a dual threat...even ranked him! My point is if he’s a dual threat or not is secondary or third in importance level in this scheme. Mobility is a bonus...accuracy and scheme fit essential.

Excellent question. I've wondering that as well. Definitely not using the PR it could have brought.

Bingo. Better to announce when you can officially say what position they will coach or who they are replacing.

Hope he can actually tell a real dual threat QB from a pure pocket passer with zero wheels.
Honest question, where have to seen Tennessee was after a dual QB? CPJ is on record he wants a pro style Offense, Chaney has basically been Pro Style the majority of his career. Fromm, Bray, Allen, crompton, Breeze, all were Pro style, not Dual.. Vols have recruited Pro style OL 2 years in a row now,, what’s the thought on. DUal QB?

I probably could go back and find the article I read a day or so ago, but just getting in from work, I really don't want to dig for it right now. The jest of the article was that a contract has yet to be signed, it's an agreement on principle. The article inferred that he would be replacing someone, but that someone hasn't been announced yet due to not having an opening. Which tells me, the staff knows someone is leaving and they quickly wanted to get Tee on board before losing him.
