Tee coming home...

Maybe. But both are coming in awful late for this recruiting cycle. NSD is less than a month away.
I hold out hope that he's built a relationship with a couple who would choose to follow him. Here's some pretty big news coming out of AL this evening. Didn't want to start a thread dealing with AL, so I'll plop it here.

Point was being able to distinguish a QB who says they are one thing but are actually another...so we dont wind up in our current QB situation.

So your implication is that Jarrett is the one who labeled himself dual threat, and you've made an assumption that he is immobile. I ask, have you ever seen him training, practicing, when he hasn't been injured, coached to stay in the pocket, or not had a defender coming free blind side, or in his face 2 steps into his drop. Oh, I get it, you don't like the kid because............ Insert whatever reason.

Honest question, where have to seen Tennessee was after a dual QB? CPJ is on record he wants a pro style Offense, Chaney has basically been Pro Style the majority of his career. Fromm, Bray, Allen, crompton, Breeze, all were Pro style, not Dual.. Vols have recruited Pro style OL 2 years in a row now,, what’s the thought on. DUal QB?

Why not have a QB who can do both? Run and throw?

Besides until our OL is up to par then we need qbs who can run

I wonder if Charles Kelly leaves, we officially make Terry Fair the secondary coach rather than just corners (with assistance from Pruitt), and Tee becomes something like passing game coordinator. Just spitballing here

The scouting services said JG was a dual threat...even ranked him! My point is if he’s a dual threat or not is secondary or third in importance level in this scheme. Mobility is a bonus...accuracy and scheme fit essential.

Some fans actually think our coaching staff gets it's QB scouting info from Rivals. And they were surprised when JG showed up on campus as a pocket passer. You can't make this stuff up.

We could rotate CP, Vick, & Tyreek Hill back there and they'd all 3 be in traction by November. Will Friend has some work to do.

I am genuinely curious as to why so many of y’all have such a hang up regarding Tee Martin. I would think winning a NC (especially the most recent one) would earn lots of love. The two things I’ve seen people mad at
1. The Jalen Hurd comment, which was overheard on a recruiting video and not meant for public consumption. It’s likely coaches make comments like that in every “war room” across the country
2. Not coming back to coach here, but I don’t know why he should have been expected to move his family in order to make a lateral move to UT. He would’ve LOVED to be head coach here and didn’t really get a look, and is still willing to come here just a year later to coach under our choice instead
I just think the level of disdain for Tee is insane for someone who brought the school a national championship and is now back to coach here (choosing us over other opportunities).

You are wise beyond your years. I don’t get it either, Tee is among my favorite Vols.

I've seem him practice. Great practice player! And I never assumed he was immobile. I assumed he was mobile and I was proven wrong, two losing seasons in a row wrong.

Losing seasons have nothing to do with JG. Butch Jones, Dave Hart, Currie, those are to blame. If you are wanting Michael Vick Jr. JG is not that, if you are expecting a running back who can throw. He is not that. Mobile enough to get fifteen when the defense opens up, yes.

While with MOST coaching staffs I would absolutely agree with you, when it comes to Lyle....well, it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Damn 5-6 years ago there wee those on here who never wanted to see or hear from Tee again for staying on the Left Coast. He was no longer a Vol and a traitor and we could have won a championship without him etc. And then Jones ran the program into the ground. All is forgiven. I love this board.

If that doesn't bring tears to your eyes you weren't alive when it happened or you ain't a Vol.

North Cobb head coach Shane Queen says Tee is already making a presence in Atlanta.

Tee Martin making presence in Atlanta recruiting
That was really poorly written. Why does he think that Tee is already making a presence in Atlanta recruiting? We have no idea. The statement is made in the article, but no reason is given. Are players in the Atlanta area suddenly interested in UT because Tee Martin is on the coaching staff? I guess that is possible. Was the question asked? We have no clue. If it was, it sure as hell wasn't discussed in the article. Has Tee visited Atlanta since being hired at UT? Once again - no comment whatsoever. All we have is a lot of discussion about Tee starting his coaching career in the Atlanta area in 2006 and 2007 (when any players that would now be seniors in high school would have been, at most, 6 or 7 years old), and then a statement that he is making a presence in Atlanta recruiting with nothing whatsoever to explain or support that statement.
