Tee coming home...

Guys, Chaney ain't going to coach forever.
Tee can coach for 20+ more years!.

Tee is a very good coach. But he could really use Chaney's tutelage in learning to recognize a defense's tendencies.
Tee has very good feel for the flow of the game, but he needs to reach a deeper level if he wants to be a Coordinator again.

And he can be!
Regardless, he is a great addition to the staff. Great recruiter. Great position coach! And he's a Vol!

I never thought Tee making the best decision for his career and his family equated "spurning" us. He was smart to not join Butch Jones. Chris Low reported Tee "chose to return to Tennessee after weighing several opportunities, including various roles at Alabama, Auburn, Louisville, Maryland and Vanderbilt.", so it definitely doesn't sound like a "pity hire" to me.

Go Vols!

Unfortunately there's an overabundance of ignorance on this forum. Always has been, always will be.

Should anything happen injury wise where he can't play football (God forbid), they should have to honor that offer and lose that Scholie for 4 years. No offers should be extended before spring of a juniors year.

Why is it such a big deal to offer a younger player and why would AL have to honor that offer if the player gets hurt? If TN were to offer a Sr in high school, we are under no obligation to honor the offer if the player gets hurt before enrolling. Offers are not binding.

I bet they wait to officially introduce Tee at the basketball game vs Bama on Saturday.

At that age, they should be. Read the rest of the post, that was the meat.

Has anyone besides Chris Low actually heard anything on this or is everyone just running with his report?

Chaney WILL be coaching them...regardless of title.
Maybe maybe not.

He hasn't always coached the qbs. He had a CO-OC and coached tight ends last year.

I did hear it may be part of the reason he left UGA.

Some have said Tee may end up with qbs. It will be qb or wr. He can coach both well.

Whatever the arrangement I'm sure they are all on the same page.

The first big mistake of the Pruitt era. Tee had his chance to come here in 2012. The biggest reason was to raise his then young son and be in his life...and coach football at his alma mater....and make great money. He choose against being Dad. That tells us the type of man he is. Don't need a bad person and a fired average coach.
As if you or really anyone else knows what Martin's family dynamic is. His son looks to be doing just fine to me

Kelly probably is going to take a job as a DC somewhere. For someone who was in no rush to hire a OC bc he didnt wanna pull a coach off the trail, it's telling that Pruitt did it so quickly here. Maybe Johnson and Kelly are out.

I was hoping to find someone else reporting this other than Wallace and Dan. Maybe they have the inside scoop.
