Tee coming home...

Saw he gets paid for 2 more years from USC,, wonder why that??

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tee Martin is returning to his alma mater, where he quarterbacked Tennessee to a national championship 20 years ago.
Martin, the former USC offensive coordinator, has reached an agreement with coach Jeremy Pruitt to join the Vols' offensive staff, sources told ESPN. Contract details and his title are still being finalized. An official announcement could come as early as Tuesday.
Martin will be paid by USC for the next two years.
I bet his son comes home to....

Guys, Chaney ain't going to coach forever.
Tee can coach for 20+ more years!.

Tee is a very good coach. But he could really use Chaney's tutelage in learning to recognize a defense's tendencies.
Tee has very good feel for the flow of the game, but he needs to reach a deeper level if he wants to be a Coordinator again.

And he can be!
Regardless, he is a great addition to the staff. Great recruiter. Great position coach! And he's a Vol!

I think, well I hope, that Tee is grooming himself as our OC of the future. Learning under Chaney will help him tremendously imo.

Wnsp in Mobile was talking about how huge this was for Tennessee in S. Alabama recruiting, and I think they’re right. This is a really good move for CJP and for Tennessee, and recruiting in general but especially in S Alabama

The first big mistake of the Pruitt era. Tee had his chance to come here in 2012. The biggest reason was to raise his then young son and be in his life...and coach football at his alma mater....and make great money. He choose against being Dad. That tells us the type of man he is. Don't need a bad person and a fired average coach.

Tee was offered much less money than he was currently making, why don't you take a job making much less than what your currently making and then we'll know how big an idiot you truly are.
SMFH

He could never win another national championship, and average 9-10 wins a year and still be beloved in Clenson. I live in Upstate SC and my daughter is a Clemson student. The people here just eat up all of his folksy sayings. BYOG, ROY bus, etc. - everytime he says something like that at a press conference, they are buying the new t-shirts the next day.
If he goes to Bama and doesn't win a national championship in the first 4 years, he'd be run out of town.
His love of his alma mater might lead him to take the job but he'd be better served to retire happy at Clemson.

He’ll never have to pay for anything as long as he’s there. They’re so crazy that if he left he’d probably be treated like Kiffin or Manning and Ole Miss.

Not only in north hell, but he can also recruit the left coast too

Did we have a vacancy or is someone leaving staff.

I don't want to lose David Johnson as WR coach but that is what Tee is rumored to be coaching.

I'm guessing that Jim Chaney/CJP told him that he would possibly retire in X years and that Tee could be mentored for an OC position. Or Chaney could go to a Non-Coaching Staff Position down the road like our DL coach did under Beeotch Jones.

If we win a championship with him as a coach he will have been a part of both NC teams in the last 50 years.

That’s kinda cool.

So, has he signed a contract yet? Or, is this still speculative reporting? I really can find anything.

I'm kinda hoping that UT wins more than one in the next 30 years. But if Tee is here for that long, it can only mean that good things, really good things, are happening...

Agreed, but if Pruitt is sucessful, Bama may come calling, and if he bolts for home, we have Tee ready to take over as HC.... (all speculation of course).

You have got to be kidding. Nieve post at best. At worst just plain stupid.

Edited to correct spell check.
