Cool man...thanks for the insight. I had absolutely no clue. It might be best for Edwards and Richardson to get the boot, go JC and then work their way onto another d1 squad down the road. I'm all for second chances in life...just not at the University of Tennessee. Take your hard-up antics somewhere else.

It wouldn't be difficult at all to try the case. You would just subpoena the victims. They would have to come and testify whether they wanted to or not.

Its a felony, the STATE will press charges, the victims can also press their own charges, but the state will do its own thing, regardless of the victims willingness to press charges. It will be "The People" vs Richardson etc...

I think you are way off base that Kiffin will base this off of their ability to help on the field. He will do what is right for the program.

Hence, a responsible journalist wouldn't report a failed drug test as fact when there is still room for speculation. Again, I really do respect that you aren't doing that.

Ok based on what we know from various news outlets/articles, Nuke and Edwards pretty much had an equal role in the attempted robbery. If that's true, then how in the world can Kiffin justify keeping Nuke and letting go of Edwards? That's just not going to happen. Both will accept the same fate.

I am no lawyer or anything, but I don't believe one can get away with probation on the attempted armed robbery charges, even for first time offenders.

I wear a hoodie almost everyday in the winter, that is not that unusual. The gun was a pellet gun, not like they were looking to do drive by's.

Yea, it's not like a small toy gun could EVER be hidden somewhere in a car.

And we all know about "HOODIES". I know that whenever I see someone wearing a dreaded hoodie, I immediately turn and walk the other way, nothing good can come from hoodies, especially when it's cold outside.

AHHHHH!!! There were hoodies???? Well, crap. I guess I need to get rid of all my hoodies or risk being accused of armed robbery.

The gun could've been under the seat. I'm not saying for sure he wasn't involved. But, no one can say for sure either way until all the facts come out. But, have fun with those knee jerk reactions.

There might be a mandatory sentence, but the DA can easily get around this by offering a deal of a reduced charge that requires no mandatory jail time, and probation would then for sure be an option.

sorry i am not a gator fan and therefore not will condone such acts based on talent alone.... if this kid was third string and riding the bench would you guys care if he stayed on the team.... i bet not

If... I know thats a big if. Nuke and whatshisface are backing up Jacksons story. (And I'd like to say here there has been a lot of times I have been around folks doing drugs and other stupid stuff that i was not doing when I was young.) That he was not involved. It would explain why the law is(supposedly) or would drop the charges against him.

Is it just me or is a pellet gun and a handgun different things. I mean the worst a pellet gun could do is put your eye out, if the gators can get away with a half game suspension why can't we? :p

I would certainly care if he was being kicked off the team for having done nothing wrong. You cannot seem to face the idea that a person CAN be wrongly accused of something.

That's the point. You don't know what acts were committed. If he has any part in it, I'm right there with you. Kick him off. But, if he walked out of the gas station and it was going on, then that's a different story. He's dumb for breaking curfew and all of that kinda stuff, but not for partaking in an armed robbery. Either way, I think at the very least he'll be suspended for the rest of the regular season b/c he was out past curfew and broke team rules which would make for a second (third?) offense in a short period of time.
