thats a pornstar mustache.....reminds me of Jake Plummer's lol. All kidding aside, I think this would be a an awesome hire!

If he comes on board our "D-Staff" will be a sight to behold. My only question is where does Lance fit in besides LB coach. If the guy comes it's icing on the cake but if not Lance is just fine.
Same here...I was hoping Lance would get the DC spot as he has been under the tutelage of 2 of the footballs best defensive minds, Saban and Monte Kiffin.

If he is only kept on as LB coach, I can see someone snatching him up as DC in no time flat...maybe even this year. At some point, guys like him have to get their shot, just like Dooley's getting now...and Joseph, his partner from LT.

I like that we are swinging for the fences, but I thought we already had our man...and one that would help maintain some level of continuity, that's sorely needed...on both offense and defense. Chaney as OC and Thompson as DC does that...instead of players having to take a step back and learn an entirely new system, they can simply build on what they already know. To me, that's a key element to actually moving forward as a program as we expected we would before Little Surfer Dude bailed.

It's one thing to come and take over a program THAT WASN'T GETTING IT DONE...like Fulmer's previous regime. It's another to take over a great staff that was building a championship level team, because the skipper caught a ride with another ship.

Let's keep in mind it's an interview. CDD will hear him and and if he likes what he hears, I guess he'll hire him. I'll trust his judgment until I don't have a reason to. He was mentioned for the LSU job last year and Georgia people wanted to take a look at him for DC.

I agree

This guy's Coaching career is awesome. He's had success every where he's gone. I would love for him to be our DC.

This guy coached Dale Jones, Darrin Miller, Kelly Ziegler among others.

That was one heck of a group of linebackers. None of them quite had NFL caliber size and speed, but as collegians they were great. Anybody who coached those guys for us is fine by me.

Hamilton, cough up the cash...give him some of that $800,000 buyout from USC if you need to.

Strong ran a 4-3 because his CBs were freaks and could play man. They moved Dunlap around because he was a super freak depending on down and distance, otherwise that ran very traditional defense.
