TCU DC to be interviewed

Hope he brings the mustache too.

How funny would that be to steal their DC after Patterson supposedly turned down the Vols?

From my sources he wants to come here but the stache is holding up negotiations for more money and years on his contract. They tell me that it is a package deal only and we can't get one with out the other. I'm hearing Hamilton is starting to cave under pressure from the stache's agent.

He moves quickly......every 2 yrs or so and he is off to a new gig. Guess that is longer than X&O.

I was reading the bio looking for the UT or Dooley connection which is this:

"Bumpas coached seven years in the Volunteer state, splitting time between the University of Tennessee (1985-89) as linebackers coach/special teams coordinator and Tennessee Tech (1983-84) as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. While with the Vols, Bumpas coached three bowl championship teams (1986 Sugar, 1986 Liberty, 1988 Peach) and was part of the Southeastern Conference championship in 1985."

Would be a great hire. Great DC with Texas recruiting connections.

Bumpas mentored Horned Frog defensive end Jerry Hughes into being a two-time consensus All-American and the 2009 recipient of the Ted Hendricks Award and Lott Trophy. Hughes, who had never played on defense until arriving at TCU, was also a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Rotary Lombardi Award.

Pretty impressive.

Hammy said that money will not be an issue to assemble the best staff possible and that includes mustaches, so Hammy needs to shell out the coin.

This would be a great hire. Our staff is going to be pretty impressive and hopefully a staff that will, for the most part, stay together for several years.

This would be a great hire, as far as Rodney Garner we could still get him but it would probably be for a spot on the offensive side, if I recall correctly I think he coached OL and TE while he was at UT.

What I'm concerned about that is is 61 if we hire him I wonder how much longer he'll be coaching, but still I want to see us get this guy.

Apparently the Stache's agent is Jimmy Sexton.
