Sad part is you are serious about being able to say anything if you win. I can guarantee you there are things that even Saban could say that would get him in trouble.

Some of you act like Coach Jones said something bad about your Mother.

All he did was praise the attitude of the young men who signed to play football at Tennessee and for some reason so called Tennessee fans have a problem with that.

Cam Newton was a 3*. John Kelly was a 3*. Elliott Berry was a 3*. Chance Hall was a 3*. Cory Vereen was a 3*. Alex Ellis was a walk on. All this nonsense is an insult to every non 5* that has given their all to Tennessee football.

Some of you need to get over yourself!

Feel better after your little rant? Its not my personal opinion, its an absolute fact. Coaches like Nick Saban and Belichick can say all the dumb stuff they want, because they win. Saban says dumb stuff all the time and its never a story, because he wins. The dude literally signed a guy with felony DV warrants, he got knocked a tad, but nobody cared because he wins, doesnt make it right or wrong, its just the way it is. If CBJ had won the east last year, had a 10-2 record or anything of that nature, noone would care what he says either.
Complain to me all you want, it doesnt change a thing. Talk about all the little 3 stars or whatever. Coaches that win can say dumb clichés, coaches that dont get slammed for it.

My personal opinion of what CBJ says is yeah he says dumb things, but it appears to me he does it to overcompensate for what he cant do on the field.

And im not sure what you were trying to prove naming all those 3 stars, the only one that has actually done anything of significance is Cam Newton which again proves my point. Newton is a crybaby douchebag, he wins so he gets to be that way and by the way, he was a 5 star coming out of high school. But i wont tell anyone if you wont.

I challenge every "5 stars or nothing" hipster to watch the movie "Greater" about Brandon Burlsworth, the walk on at Arkansas who became an All-American. Have I seen it yet? No, but I don't mind a roster full of 4 star players either. :)

if they think Butch is going to be fired next season for winning only 7-8 games....they are going to be some real hurt feelings..we arent elite, never have been. this isnt a destination job.and who wants to be the 5 head coach in 10 years with fans like us? lol Witch Doctor just being real lol

Wow. If Butch has had Sabans success, there is virtually nothing he could say that would get him into much trouble. You seem to fail to understand what winning actually does.

No he didnt just praise the attitude of guys coming here. He deflected hard core to cover up the fact that his 2017 recruiting class was very underwhelming. I personally had no problem with his champions of life comment. But this comment was just utter stupidity and actually makes our football program look like a freaking joke.

Stop it with the 3* nonsense. You like others just dont get it. Its as dumb as saying, on look at how many 3* are playing in the Super Bowl. Its a ridiculous argument. Recruiting services only assign so many 5*. Therefore, there are going to be, by extension, many more 3* players. If recruiting services offered as many 5* as 3*, then the NFL would be full of them.

Witch Doctor grew up in KPT. Its not the 3*...recruiting services hit and miss. I think Butchs BIGGEST fault is he tries to oversell it..straight talk with the fan base would go a long way. Drop the Cliches, talk real..

Witch Doctor say you are correct! unfortunately its been almost 10 years since I have been and NOTHING in Mid. Tenn is even close. I could eat a bathtub full of their baked beans. lol
