Is this just for transfers or do injuries count? If the latter is in play I've got Chuck Webb in front by a mile. With zero need for wearing orange glasses I think he's making a run at the Heisman in '90 if not for the injury against Pacific. He was that good.

I am with you. Another injury loss with EXTREME potential was Keith Davis. Not as splashy, but man I was hopeful.

The player that reminded me of Coker more than anyone was Eric Gray, which ended on a sour note as well.
Eric Gray was a good player but was nowhere near as fast as Coker. Jaylen Wright is probably the closest we have had to Coker’s breakaway speed, and even he couldn’t run quite like Coker

Which player would’ve finished with a more accomplished career, Tiyon Evans or Lamarcus Coker? I was very disappointed neither finished their career as a Vol, but both were extremely impressive specimens.

Specimens? lol

That’s fairly accurate. It looks like the Jaylen Wright’s last clocked in at around 4.38 prior to the draft.

The last 40-time I can find for Coker was in December 2009: at the East Coast Bowl in Petersburg, VA, he ran the 40 yard dash with an unofficial time of 4.28.
