CokerWhich player would’ve finished with a more accomplished career, Tiyon Evans or Lamarcus Coker? I was very disappointed neither finished their career as a Vol, but both were extremely impressive specimens.
Any other players you can think of who fit that bill? Bryce Brown? I’ll hang up and listen.
Evans was dynamite. Coker beat out ( for a time) Foster and Hardesty. And he was the recipient of two of Cuts best ever play calls. It’s nothing against Evans. I just think Coker was on a different level.I can't totally see that, Heup/Golesh offense was rocking and rolling when his off field stuff occurred; could you imagine him on 2022 offense?
Perhaps context matters, but I though5 Evans, within Heup's offense, could've broken the UT single season rushing record.Evans was dynamite. Coker beat out ( for a time) Foster and Hardesty. Is this just for transfers or do injuries count? If the latter is in play I've got Chuck Webb in front by a mile. With zero need for wearing orange glasses I think he's making a run at the Heisman in '90 if not for the injury against Pacific. He was that good.Which player would’ve finished with a more accomplished career, Tiyon Evans or Lamarcus Coker? Maaaaybe this could stand on the merit of raw talent? By this I mean if he had the work ethic of the others he could have done better? Perhaps, but people forget he didn't blow it up at Hampton either, didn't (AFAIR) even get a combine invite and had a short stint in Canada. Foster and Hardesty both spent time in the NFL with Foster making 4 pro bowls.Coker was the best back of a running back room that included Foster and Hardesty.
Yes on raw talent. Obviously, he did not have the discipline that the other guys hadMaaaaybe this could stand on the merit of raw talent?
