Gus was ranting for all 85 minutes of basketball played at Rupp Saturday. It was 1 of the best performances I've ever heard.

Gus is fantastic - great mix of calling the game and adding enthusiasm without sounding like a dork.

The polar opposite is Gminski - he's supposed to the the color guy but he sounds like he's either in a coma or teaching Sunday School

I was in a bar watching that game with the sound off. Bummer - I've heard Gus is great.

For a less entertaining but nice, rational play-by-play, I like Tim Brandt (does a lot of ACC games here).

I HATE Raferty. His attempts at "being cool" come up WAY short. He's a John Ward wannabe.

May I suggest you go listen to some tapes of Jimmy Dykes calling a game. That should make Raftery seem a bit more tolerable.
