It wasn't a slip of the words. I don't know that it's a lie, but if it's not, it's not a slip up...he really thought there was an incident.

He's not saying "I slipped up". He's saying "there was a fox story".

This is maybe even more troubling than a lie? Most politicians lie, but not many are too stupid to digest a cable news report.

I'm not the biggest trump fan but I like what he has done so far..... every single president since the beginning of time has stumbled over words and made mistakes that could be taken in a different.... it is blown up to such a huge deal now due to the explosion of social media. I don't think he thought their was an incident the night before nor do I think Obama thought their was 57 states. It's really a non issue.

Even "IF" - YOU FRICKIN SAID IF Sweden has SOME - YOU JUST FRIKIN SAID "SOME"

"IF" Sweden has "SOME" problems....

Aaaand .... your cred (ALL of what you had left) just went round the bowl and down the hole. Roll huffy roll.

Yeah, Imadouche...

You're post was even stoopididier than most.
Actually on the train right out of crazytown showing a wanton disregard for current world events precipitated by unvetted "immigrants" and refugees.

Oh the humanity. This is why we need The fairness act to be reinstated.

That oped offers nothing new.

Hard to take a guy who advocates for unsolicited pu$$y grabbing as too bent out of shape by what happened in Sweden.

I think the most amazing thing about the Trump presidency (besides the whole Kremlin thing, you know, that ole' chestnut) is that we're being provided the opportunity to watch - here in America, mind you - how authoritarian cults are formed and how simple it is for people to hand their rights and the rights of others away, even the ones who we formally thought were "strict contitutionalists."

Luckily, Trump will end up undoing himself and already has, so we will be spared. But only for a time. We've seen how easy it is now. We've been forewarned.

This is strictly a Trump thing?

No, but it has been more pronounced with Trump than it even was with Obama or anyone before Trump.

Really, I think it's a populist thing, which can be right, left, or both. (Trump is essentially a bizarre amalgamation of both left and right.)

I'll admit that I haven't been paying that close of attention that last couple of days but what rights have we handed over?

Would you have a problem if your neighborhood was flooded with Muslims that weren't vetted? I bet you would move or build a wall around your house. Why don't you host a few in your home if you aren't worried.

I can read this, close my eyes, and return to 1974....thanks. I would certainly hate it if my neighborhood was flooded with a bunch of skin heads or bikers.

Most people including myself would be too.

I see those meds aren't working. You need to boost your dosage or change meds.

Exactly. They all want to be "Accepting". Blah blah. But no one wants them. It's best to have other people deal with them and pray they don't move in to their neighborhood.

Is the ability to turn back the clock 50 years considered a super power?

At the moment, only the rights of "others" are being discussed. If given enough time - thankfully, he will not be - ours will be discussed as well.

Right now, he's attacking the media in an attempt to delegitimize it so he can do what he thinks he needs to do later. The media is the greatest "check and balance" we have, as it often forces even congress's hand.

Every would-be authoritarian does this first. It's exactly how Putin came to power.

No authoritarian comes right out the gate whipping everyone and taking all their rights. He has to lay the groundwork first. We're still in the groundwork stage, and, luckily, that's were it will most likely end.

But more Trumps will come along.

160 IQ is mentally retarded, who knew! He is doing what he promised.

There is no evidence of this. The report I guess you are referencing came to this conclusion using some very unscientific and biased means. The conclusion was rated as "false". I would be shocked if Trump had over a 120 IQ.
