Unless he turns it around this year and finally proves he's a coach that can overachieve... I'm frankly not worried about that happening. I'm not worried much about him getting another P-5 job. My best guess is that he'll be a position coach in the NFL like Dooley.

Pearl could coach. That wasn't what got him fired. If he hadn't screwed up... he would have been kept, would have gotten paid, and might even have UT in position to compete for the SEC.

There isn't s single P5 school that has expressed genuine interest in hiring Butch Jones away from Tennessee these last 4 years, and when he is finally let go, there won't be any offers then either.

Butch will end up back in the Big East or a MAC school where his offensive system may find a modicum of success, and he can champion 9-2 seasons where he's in a 4-way tie for first place.

First off Butch owes me a lamp. I slapped a cushion off the couch on the last play and it hit my lamp. Secondly, the game was terribly called offensively in tight spots. But the end all play was the last play. In the huddle, the captain should tell everyone in the secondary not to LET anyone behind you!!!! there's 9 seconds left, the QB was scrambling he was not going to score on the ground, so just stay with your man wherever he goes. We did the same damn thing last year at GA. Basic folks... we don't stick to the basics. WE choke in the tight moments of close games.... PS... Kelly was a beast. Props.

I will say this. If the AD DID sit down and have a conversation like this. And Butch Jones DID have an epiphany, coming to a realization that his approach has been flawed. And THEN if Butch Jones DID take that information and somehow comes in with a new approach, and his team takes care of business the rest of the year. Beating Georgia by looking like a different football team and making it out as east champs. He will save his job and change the opinion of the fan base.

History is not in his favor. He doesn't seem to have learned anything about how SEC football works. So my hopes aren't up.

There's not another SEC school that would hire Butch Jones. If he can't win at Tennessee, he can't win anywhere in the SEC.

That would be the ideal situation and is indeed possible, however improbable. I have little to NO confidence that it will transpire. That pains me to admit...

I just want to WIN. That is all...JUST WIN. He has the players to win championships, now he just needs to remove his head from his ass and do the SMART thing in these key moments of games instead of sh*tting the bed time after time after time.

At least a 10-2 record to finish the year and all of this will probably go away. I don't think it's gonna happen, but I've seen stranger things when somebody's a** is on the line.

I support and will continue to support my Alma Mater, but Jones and the staff have completely lost my confidence..... And it took a lot.
