It's no secret Martin and staff will have their work cut out for them, but I'm not going to write off the season and would hope most won't either.

It was pretty clear last years team didn't start playing to it's potential until February. While next years teams potential may be lower, if they can reach their potential sooner and avoid multiple bad losses they very well could make it.

People thought Nc State was gonna be horrible this past year, and Mari Gotfried couldn't make it at Bama which is saying a lot. But they made it into the tournament last year, and actually won a game.

No worries with Stokes going pro.

CCM and the staff will coach Pops and the boys up next year and we'll be back on the bubble in no time!!

I'm heading over to campus right now to re-up on my season tix and increase my donation...hope the line's not too long. Future's bright...can't wait for next year!!!

For once, I'm gonna agree with BTO.:D

Still think we have enough talent to get to NCAA. I really think Martin has changed his philosophy and demeanor somewhat and will get better results next season.

The problem with most predictions here--whether by pessimists or optimists--is the straight-line reasoning.

"Stokes is gone, so the only big man options we have now are..."

The truth is Stokes departure (and best of luck, young man!) creates a chain reaction of new possible events, recruiting surprises, new options for the coaches... maybe even some offensive basketball! (not predicting--just sayin)

CCM did not arrive here with the intention of running a Twin Bulkheads offense. That was an adaptation to the talent we had. Remember how we even came to have Maymon?

The absence of Stokes not only changes the roster, it changes all the dynamics of recruiting. It changes who is interested in Tennessee as much as it changes who we are.

So relax, let this play out. After all, that's one of the joys of sports: we're watching a movie being scripted in real time. Sometimes it plays out nearly as expected, but there's almost always 2 or 3 surprises that no one could have predicted. And sometimes it's crazier than anyone could have written.

So just e-n-j-o-y ! (after all, neither you nor I can change the outcome anyway)

well..... so..hart is ok going to the ncaa every 3/yrs n never competing for any type of championship.. sounds good to me....not... .... ccm is avg n will never win a regular or sec tourney championship while at tn... >....wait for it... thats ok because we r a football school.. ..

but support your team donate and spend all your money on ut because if u dont u r not a real fan.. lol
