Maybe refs need the option of throwing a "maybe" flag.
They know it's borderline and want the option of a slow-mo review.

the SEC ( and all conferences) grade the officials after each game. The problem is, I'm not sure there are any consequences, other than maybe not getting picked to do the SEC championship game.

I tend to agree. You can only hurt people so much by not selecting them as “employee of the month”.
