Starting lineups 2024 and 2025

Watching end of GM game with 5 closing kind of had me thinking of potential future lineups. Just for fun as we wait for tomorrow what are some hypothetical starting lineups people think/looking forward to 2024 and 2025. Obviously things will change drastically based on portal, leave for NBA draft, etc...

We're gonna need at least two instant impact, veteran scorers from the portal for next year. Without any portal additions, that's a pretty average/inexperienced roster. Defense would most likely be fine(basically always is with a Barnes coached team), but, the offense with that group is frightening. Would remind me of our 2019(?) team, the year after Grant & Admiral left, with Pons & Fulky as our go-to scorers. Simply painful to watch..

I do like Cam Carr

You nor anyone else has a clue about Carr yet. The kid has played like 15-20 total minutes, most of it in mop up duty.

I hate to be this way and spoil the fun but this time last year we had no clue we’d have DK. His success could bode well for getting another top transfer next year though!

Wasn't that the same year Vescovi came in at mid year? We did beat UK at Lexington late in the season. Fulkerson went off the last 15 minutes

Might be time to turn it over to the younguns. If the talent is in house it needs to be fostered. Maybe, you lose a few along the way but the rewards will come.

It was about next season. I should have used the quote with my comment. He said we need to hit the portal next year. I say we go with the young guys and let it build.

Aidoo, Awaka, Gainey and Seigler will be the leaders of the 2024 and 2025 squads and Barnes can use the portal to supplement those teams.

It's not that I wouldn't use the portal at all but I would build this team around this current freshman class next year. They need to play and develop.

Next year he’ll be a likely starter, hard to see him leaving imo
