Even if Worley is better than Simms, the difference in ability isn't worth wasting a year of eligibility. We are are a 6 win team either way. Stop being dumb.
it's not being dumb. we have talent coming in after him, it's still important to win games this year. worley could potentially win us more games than simms. the point of college football is to win games. we'll probably be a running football team after 2012 anyways...
Same reason it was a bad idea last year to play Bray before they did. No sense in destroying the kids confidence by throwing him out there against the best defenses in CFB. Also I think they should hold onto Worleys redshirt if they can. With Bray being out for a large part of this season, I think it makes it unlikely he will go pro after next season.(barring an out of this world miracle type season next year). It would be good for Worley to have a full 2 years to work with after Bray. If Worley becomes the QB we think/hope he will, I would hate to sacrifice a full season just to a salvage a little bit of this lost cause of a season.
Simms is our guy, I can see a scenario playing out where they work Worley in slowly (after bama) and redshirting him next year instead, but that is unlikely.
