I agree we need anyone else than Simms. Worst performance since Crompton in 08. Whats sad is he had open receivers all night. The kid is terrible!

I'd sacrifice all redshirts and the eligibility of Dallas Thomas and Zach Rogers next year for a win over Alabama. JMO

If Worley was better than Sims, I think the coaches would play him. I just think he doesn't know our offense well enough. We just have to wait till Tyler gets back.

Even if Worley is better than Simms, the difference in ability isn't worth wasting a year of eligibility. We are are a 6 win team either way. Stop being dumb.

it's not being dumb. we have talent coming in after him, it's still important to win games this year. worley could potentially win us more games than simms. the point of college football is to win games. we'll probably be a running football team after 2012 anyways...

so you really think Worley would of won us the game today? you can't be that stuborn to think that.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm talking about next week. And the week after. And the week after.

No he's not. Considering this team and who we're playing (alabama), putting in a player on potential alone wouldn't change the odds more than a few percentage points at best (and a freshman, in his first game, against Alabama of all teams, isn't going to play much better than Simms)

All you'd be doing is throwing him into the fire and throwing away a full other year of eligibility (which we will more than likely need) just because you want just a wee bit better of a chance to beat Alabama...

If you want to throw a true freshman into the fire against Alabama...you must want a loss that would make today's game seem great or tame in comparison

Why not go with Worley? Simms is horrible and bray will be gone after next year. At least see a little of our future. Simms throws the ball and prays it gets there. He's a good kid but he just doesn't have it.

Same reason it was a bad idea last year to play Bray before they did. No sense in destroying the kids confidence by throwing him out there against the best defenses in CFB. Also I think they should hold onto Worleys redshirt if they can. With Bray being out for a large part of this season, I think it makes it unlikely he will go pro after next season.(barring an out of this world miracle type season next year). It would be good for Worley to have a full 2 years to work with after Bray. If Worley becomes the QB we think/hope he will, I would hate to sacrifice a full season just to a salvage a little bit of this lost cause of a season.

You think Bray would have been worse this year if he had played every game last year?

Dooley needs to play the best player, whoever that is Worley or Simms.
Redshirt is a good idea, if you don't need the player but why redshirt a player if it is hurting the team?

Burning Worley's redshirt has got to be the the dumbest idea I've heard all year long. Worley will be here another 4 years after this. He's not going anywhere early. And even if you were going to burn his redshirt, why would you do it against a team like Alabama? They'd eat him alive!!! If he was good enough to beat Alabama, then we've had the wrong guy starting all year long, because he is good enough to beat out Bray, which he isn't. He's just a Freshman. His chance is coming up in a couple of years.

Simms is our guy, I can see a scenario playing out where they work Worley in slowly (after bama) and redshirting him next year instead, but that is unlikely.

Da'Rick is a great player, but I thought his effort was suspect on a few costly plays. On a third down, Simms led him correctly, so that the defender couldn't get to the ball but Rogers could. It went through DR's hands, and he didn't go up for it. His feet didn't even leave the ground. And on the first INT, I thought the defender blocked Rogers path, so he should have ran into him.
