They have issues with passing and turnovers. They have played one decent team in their undefeated season so far (Clemson). We should handle them in Knoxville.
That Clemson team soundly thrashed Bama yesterday by 26 points. Dwayne Curtis and Chris Warren are Ole Miss's leading scorers, followed by Polynice. To be honest, I haven't seen them play yet, but this is a heck of a test to begin conference play on the 9th.
Dead on about Polynice. I think you'll be surprised at how much stronger Huertas is after a year in the weightroom on the old Cincinnati strength program.
Huertas didn't get pushed around in when I saw them in person against Southern Miss. Larry's teams are always physical, so that's a decent test of a guy's progress in the weight room. That said, nobody's going to confuse Huertas with Jamont Gordon strengthwise.I haven't watched them this season yet, but between high school and AAU ball I'd played against them both quite a bit. Huertas was always a dead eye shooter which opened up his driving game, but he didn't ever finish very well. Has the added strength helped him a lot in that regard? Polynice was the type of player that had a lot of gifts like size, length, quickness, left-handed, I think it just took a while for him to realize how good he could actually be. I happy to hear he's doing well in Oxford.
