Sources: UT Athletics Mulling New Apparel Deal With Adidas

We had middle school awards and about the only Nike I saw were dunks or af1 which have been around forever. Mainly panda for dunks and those are a bit over sold. Saw sambas, vans, nb, on, etc. Really a wide range these days where we didn't have so many options
The dunks are the ones the kids here wear. They will likely be played out by next fall.

I refuse to buy anything Nike, primarily for political reasons, but also because I find their products to be overpriced and ill-fitting. It's true that Adidas's on-field uniforms weren't up to Nike's standard, but that was also 12 years ago. There have been a lot of advances in both materials and design over the last decade. Miami and A&M are both Adidas schools, so it's not as if no other big-time schools are rocking Adidas gear. Ultimately it's should be...and WILL be with Danny in charge...about who writes the biggest check to support the program and the student athletes through NIL.

Totally agree. I have a closet and cap rack full of Tennessee Orange and not one swish anywhere. Never will be.

This is literally the last time Adidas was cool. Circa 1983

Im old school. Lets see if Sports Bell is can be revived. They made and serviced UT apparrel before Addidas. Condredge Holloway was a sales rep when I worked there. I hooked up all my friends wirh protypes and game used fb jerseys. My dad got the tailored template #16 for 96 Citrus bowl. They only sent 3 patches. 2 were used. 1 stayed here. Jesse Bell gave me the 1st. I gave it to my dad.

Going from Nike to adidas will undoubtedly hurt recruiting. Nike, for the most part, offers far superior and a better variety of gear. Nike cotton t shirts are awful. They have a variety of nice hats but many of the betters ones are the hot ass wool type material. Other than that everything is unquestionably better.
Sorry but using conjecture is weak

Al can have his opinion, but I think the Jordan branding is so stupid looking on a football jersey. Stay with Nike, I agree. But I would hate to see our football jerseys sporting a basketball logo on them.

Nike looks better but Adidas is a better product. If Adidas allows some creative control over the end product aesthetic then go with it. I'll buy whichever.

I agree with you and some others about the looks. I haven’t seen the difference in quality.

I haven’t seen any actual number comparisons applied to an Adidas offer or a Nike renegotiation, unfortunately. All I have to go by are the brands’ popularities.

If Carhartt would only make football uniforms, maybe we could find some common ground.

Adidas is NOT a better product. They have declined BIG TIME Nike by far is a better product and better overall not even close. Under Armor is the only one comparable but they aren’t signing anyone

It 100% depends on what product you're talking about.

Not at all. Have not seen anything Adidas that is better made. They are TRULY taking a back seat to everyone above. They are heading in the Reebok way. Top two brands now are Nike and Under Armor and we would be doing ourselves injustice by going back to the brand everyone celebrated when we left no matter if we have control over the design or not. If not Nike go Under Armor the money difference is NOT worth making the change it will hurt in the long run and we will all complain again about Adidas again

Adidas running shoes beat the pants off of Nike's, if we're looking only at these brands. UA's shoes (and cleats) are so bad they shouldn't even be mentioned. All of them pale to other specialized shoes. In regular sneakers, if you're looking for quality and not "style", Adidas is about the only company that makes anything with a normal toe box and decent materials. I know what I'm talking about here, as I've got foot problems and specific exercise needs and have put a lot of time (and pairs of Nike and Adidas shoes) into it.

Most of Adidas' exercise shirts fit and hold up better than anything Nike puts out. DriFit stuff was great before but is really turning into smelly, thin, Chinese polyester garbage. The Nike regular " "cotton" stuff is also way inconsistent on sizes, whereas I can usually count on Adidas to always run just a touch big.

The only place Nike really wins is in field uniforms, but they have mailed it in a lot in places like the USMNT, and let's not forget their MLB fiasco. Nike was already big but has gotten way too much bigger way too fast to actually have quality across much of what they put out to us regular people- they're essentially a licensing company more than anything at this point. Which is why I made my first post in this thread.

We can agree to disagree. Everyone has a right to their opinion but highly disagree
