I’m not seeing these New Era hats that these Adidas teams are supposedly wearing . Looks like Adidas branded hats to me

In the late 90's, it was Adidas. These away Adidas uniforms look sweet. The orange numbers pop and the white pants have a silky shine to them.

It's almost as if these kids like cold hard cash more than a damn maker's mark on a uniform.

...and with adidas comes an NIL pool that will undoubtedly get to our star athletes.
wont be long til the cool uniforms are no longer a so called recruiting tool

Yeah I'm not sure why people thought that the cool factor would win over actually getting paid

Hard to believe people need a reminder just how awful Adidas is at uniforms.

Seeing how cheap A&M and Nebraska’s baseball uniforms with the cursive writing like our “Vols” looked is enough to know Adidas hasn’t improved a darn bit.
The good news is we can likely keep all of these Nike designs with Adidas, since the design will be in-house (apparently).

I think all of the current designs were made by folks in the UTAD, not Nike. And the UTAD will, of course, retain their own uniform designs. At least that's the way I understand it. If true, I just can't understand all the hand-wringing around changing the manufacturer's label on our uniforms.

I’ll have to see our uniforms remain top notch with Adidas to believe it—regardless of in-house design or not.

Because adidas won't be giving every kid $500k?

Nebraska has 3 six-figure athletes with adidas. The rest of them have the option to take an "influencer package" of $1000 in gear an academic year, provided they aren't photographed wearing competing brands. Less than a third of the football roster has taken that deal.

What does that entail ? I’m assuming Raiola is one of the athletes who has a 6 figure deal, he undoubtedly took the deal bc he has an unhealthy obsession w/ Mahomes (who is Adidas top football ambassador). Does this mean he gets 6 figures of cash, plus gear? Doe this also mean that it’s a contract that is good for the next level?

I don’t know what his contract specifically entails or how long it runs for, but it is for mid six figures in cash, I know that for sure.

Their deal with Texas A&M stipulates they are supposed to spend at least $1 million a year on athlete NIL, but there’s apparently some frustration on that campus that the money has gone unspent. No idea if that is on the players or on Adidas, but it is something that Tennessee has been looking at since NIL is a part of the package Adidas has offered them.

That’s a lot of money to get a kid to wear something. Adidas costs more to recruit the same player.

If Adidas gets the orange shade right (and matches helmets/pants/jerseys), keeps many/most of the existing designs, keeps the black outlines/names off the road uniforms and all other sports uniforms, and we get the big numerals back on the football jerseys, I’m fine with it.
