Sources: UT Athletics Mulling New Apparel Deal With Adidas

When we're able to give a guy 5, 10, 25K, etc more because we're making more on the deal, these guys won't care if they're wearing Lululemon brand gear.

Their founder was a member of the Nazi party. Is that un-woke enough for you? 😂

Its hard to read what you may/may not be insinuating with my post. I'm not taking a side on woke/non-woke.

Just pointing out that anyone playing the look this brand is more woke than this one is playing a foolish game. Taking a completely neutral viewpoint both are fairly progressive business organizations.

You think wearing Nike makes you more of a man? If so, kudos to their marketing dept
Try to see if from an American athlete’s perspective. What billionaire American athlete wore Adidas? Kids want to be like Mike. Tiger pulled it off, too.

FILAS grew and declined along with Grant Hill’s popularity. Who wears Adidas?

Do they really feel like less of a man for wearing Adidas? That was your claim

Probably. I grew up in the US. When I was a kid, you may as well ask a boy to wear Keds as to put on Adidas. That was always a flopping, injury faking European brand.

There’s a reason our country’s best athletes don’t play soccer.

I watched Manning wear it. I watched UT win the national championship in it. I'm not going to tell 27 he was less of a man because of a logo on his jersey

As a former soccer player, I envision you as being a terrible athlete for some reason

They recruited 27 while wearing Nike. It’s not like either of those chose Adidas.

Not all were recruited then and that claim is laughable. The early 2000s teams also wore it. Guys like Witten
Not nearly as laughable as saying kids don’t prefer Nike over Adidas when it has been the number one selling sports brand for at least the past 40 years. Not as laughable as denying branding isn’t important when the article we’re debating states just that.

I’m sorry for your argument that Adidas couldn’t land Michael Jordan or Bo Jackson in the 80’s, but Nike out did them and there’s real consequences for not being associated with the best. To deny that is a joke.

We were national champions when we recruited Witten. We don’t have that going for us this time around.

Your claim was that it is emasculating not that they simply prefer one brand over another. It's more likely they'll prefer cash over both. That's the real argument

I’d have been all state in soccer. Those kids couldn’t make the basketball team.
ugh, different skill sets.

Soccer games are a track meet.

Basketball requires balance, hand eye, and jumping. That's not to say that all a are b, or that b and c cannot be a.

Just that they require different skill sets.

Ive dated female soccer players, who were also long distance runners. One match is equal to my entire daily running routine, and she ran it like a gazelle.
