People acting like he's falsifying SAT scores up in here.
At least he's not Calipari.[/QUOTE]
Too bad!!! If he was like Cal, we would have much better players and he would still be coaching, not continuing to be a national embarrassment for the program and the university.
as it stands today, you're right. But a year ago, no one knew CBP would slip up.

Why would UT fire Pearl now or soon? It's clear what he did, he's already serving a (BOGUS) penalty assessed by Slime, it would be totally dumb to sack him months after the violation, even if the NCAA assessing the situation. Good grief. The whole incident has been grossly overblown. He didn't pay anybody or commit what could be considered a serious violation--having recruits to a BBQ at his house? Really? He was stupid to lie about that, but c'mon: Let's not overreact--which is what everybody had done. UT would be stupid to fire Pearl--unless they want basketball to be irrelevant again.
Just don't be so confident.

Why? A friend of a friend in the AD told someone you know? I am confident Pearl is our coach next year. I will continue to be until he is fired. I respect that so many here think they have an inside source that says he is out, or that some here want him gone, but I don't belive or agree.
Because believe it or not, some people don't want to see UT basketball keep a coach who won't be able to coach for at least a year or be banned from the postseason for two years. Also, some people don't think it looks good for the university to keep someone who has had problems with the NCAA for the program's image. Not to mention it may be hard for UT basketball to do well trying to convince recruits to play for a coach that won't be coaching as well as a team that won't be making the tournament, and it may be hard for Pearl to recruit after he comes back when other coaches are constantly telling recruits about how Pearl is a cheater. Then tell me why? You have yet to do so even though I have asked twice. Oh, and don't give me the, "It's not the right time to tell" or "I don't want to get my source in trouble" stuff either.
