Something seems off with Heupel

Regular season Rick just got embarrassed in a tournament by a Kansas who was missing about 3 or 4 players.

Regular Season Rick will be lucky to see the sweet 16.
Ha! Don’t we own the current longest streak of Sweet 16 appearances? I think we do. If not, we ere certainly up there. I’m sure you’re right though based on one off game.

Just watched the presser video and I think Heupel is replacing some staff or seriously considering it.

His eyes and his strong emphasis when saying "coaches and players" more than once as under performing make me think he tore someone a new one before stepping to the podium.

I don't think firing people is easy for him nor is going off on his staff but he had that look of a guy who just told everyone to freshen up their resume.

lol, nice try. I’m sure I could find a thousand posts of the made up medical conditions vs having a real source.
only thing Im "trying" is to find out who's full of crap. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because who lies about something like that.

But nevermind. Trying to get honesty out of people around here is damn near impossible.

He needed to tear about 75 people a new one. If he did, it might be the first time. Sometimes teams take on the personality of their coach and I’m afraid that’s where we are. Never seen him light up a player, coach or official on the sidelines. Wonder what Saban would have done on the sideline if his players had been that lackadaisical and undisciplined? Scratch that. Those types would never see the field for him.

Your post was clearly said with a smart ass tone.

You honestly think he has a legit source that says he’s on medication or that he read one of the many posts that talk about blood pressure pills?

It should be rather obvious which one of those are true.

I believe he'll surprise most of us this season.

Keep making jokes about Barnes. Once he's gone and we're back to being a .500 team, we'll be wishing for the Barnes day's to return.

Barnes is literally the best Basketball Coach in our program's history... not understanding the criticism.

I am not sure the Saban, yell at everyone, strategy works anymore in the NIL era. Players will just flip you off and transfer somewhere else. I think that is why Saban is on GameDay now and not in Tuscaloosa.

Im a smartass. Lol.

Seriously, I dont know. Im pretty sure hes been pretty critical of Huepel in the past and to just throw that out like that, I hesitate to call bs. Especially when it wouldn't matter to many anyway.

But again, nevermind it ain't worth going any further with it. I hope its not true and hes healthy as a horse.

Thank you for posting presser and I agree. You can tell he’s not happy in his normal non-aggressive tone of voice. He doesn’t like losing and the resulting heat it places on him. Doesn’t want to have to fire anyone and the difficulty that comes with that but knows he must do something. Not in a comfortable place in my opinion. Your assessment is spot on I think.

The real answer is: Maybe he is maybe he isn’t. But that poster sure doesn’t know.

Just watched the press conference and I have seen Heupel at the podium before after a loss. But something seemed different this time. Something seemed strange. Heupel didn’t act like himself. He seemed, I don’t know, distant maybe. I wonder if something has happened behind closed doors. Maybe I am just reading it wrong.
Maybe he has been told to revamp, fire dc, and he doesn't want to do that??

There's plenty of video of Saban getting right in the grill of coaches on the sideline plus having an obvious tantrum on the headset (before he smashed it.)

Heupel is mellow. It makes me wonder if whatever he's chewing is a CBD gummy.

Those eyes tonight, though, had a bit of seething in them like a Dad who just used the belt and might go back and use it again. (Can you still do that and not get arrested, BTW? I'm past needing to be the bad guy but I've been on both sides in my day.)

I hope Coach Heupel turned a corner today and gets a lot tougher on himself, his staff, and his players. We need it.

I was shocked he had them ready to play Florida tbh. This whole season, particularly after the GA game has felt this way. There’s a UGA troll on Twitter who calls him sleepy Josh, and it used to rub me the wrong way, but if the shoe fits. There’s no perceived desire or fire at all. Idk if it’s complacency or something else.
