Something seems off with Heupel

Just watched the press conference and I have seen Heupel at the podium before after a loss. But something seemed different this time. Something seemed strange. Heupel didn’t act like himself. He seemed, I don’t know, distant maybe. I wonder if something has happened behind closed doors. Maybe I am just reading it wrong.
Looked like that all game. Even before he knew we were gonna lose

Doesn't matter. Baseball season starts in 75-80 days. We are a baseball school now.
We are gonna be a terrible baseball school again. Nobody will come to the games for f we start losing. Tony v and frank were the whole team. Hopefully I’m wrong but the history serves its rights. Go vols.

They quit in the fourth quarter against OU and they quit last year in Athens and Columbus. They also quit in Columbia in 2022 and in Gainesville the following year.
Its the way he coaches....You can't be a buddy buddy with your players. They play soft...and undisciplined and have for 5 years. We've seen the best out of Heupel...A leopard doesn't change his spots.

And concerning....Vandy physically whipped us tonight. We wanted to lay and woller on the ground tonight. We are not a tough football team on either side of the ball.

Seemed that way with the halftime interview too.

Might be just me but I think he displays a general apathy towards this era of college football.

He seems like a personality in the vein of Saban/Dabo. Makes me wonder what the Boo Carter saga and the added job responsibilities of this era have done to his enthusiasm of being the head coach/ceo of a program like this compared to when he was hired.

Head coach is a hard job and most don’t get to leave on good terms, especially in the SEC. He could be a head coach many other places tomorrow, but not at the top level schools in the SEC or B10. He will have to make some hard choices over the next few months or the school will have to make a hard choice on him. Wish it had gone the other way, but it didn’t.

He's been contacted by the Raiders so that he's gonna jump ship like TV and bail for the NFL

Regular season Rick just got embarrassed in a tournament by a Kansas who was missing about 3 or 4 players.

Regular Season Rick will be lucky to see the sweet 16.

I believe he'll surprise most of us this season.

Keep making jokes about Barnes. Once he's gone and we're back to being a .500 team, we'll be wishing for the Barnes day's to return.
