The 1998 team had a QB drafted by NFL team handing off to multiple NFL running backs, running behind an O-Line with multiple NFL players, a NFL FB, and throwing to multiple NFL receivers.

On defense, you had a DL with multiple NFL players, multiple NFL LBs, and multiple NFL players in the secondary.

In the 1999 draft, we only had Al Wilson in the first round, Peerless price in the second, Shawn Bryson in the 3rd, Jeff Hall in the 6th & Corey Terry in the seventh.

My point is, we could have future NFL players on our roster that are Fr or RFr, we just don't know yet. Our team for this coming year could match up favorably to the 98 team.

PS: I just saw where Shawn Bryson is the running backs coach at UTC. Good for him! He's only 40 & a VFL. If Gillespie doesn't work out or decides to leave, I think Bryson would be on my list of possible replacements.

So we deem quarterbacks who havent seem a collegiate snap or only seen mop up duty, great? Awesome. What do we call truly great qbs?
