Some sobering statistics

Serious question: How much of this is due to injuries to the O-line? I thought I read that 4 out of 5 of the starters are out, and they’re playing sophs and frosh in their place. Seems to me that could be part of the problem.

More excuses. We recruit well enough to have 4 stars behind all those linemen. Straight up, this offense is a putrid pile of stinking horse manure, and Jones is running the stables.

Time to put that horse out of it's misery

-How badly does this team miss Josh Dobbs, Alvin Kamara and Josh Malone? The Vols finished in the top 20 last season in explosive plays (79 plays of 20 yards or more). They have just 19 such plays all season.....good for No. 126 nationally.

You just love downplaying Dobbs don't you?

Alvin was either injured or rarely playing last year because of Butch Jones incompetence. Plus John Kelly is still a really good RB. Callaway is just as good if not better than Malone. The major difference is we had Dobbs last year.

Dobbs was the ONLY reason we were any good offensively the last 2 years. We're seeing right now how GREAT he was.

Add to this list...we gave up 1900 yards on defense and 118 points in the last 3 games last year...

He didn't downplay Dobbs. He gave all three props. I am convinced that you are crazy.

Nope chance Hall is the only one thats really out due to injury. Wouldnt doubt Butch would say that though.

Starting lineup for first game...

LT Drew Richmond not injured
LG Jack Jones not injured OR Boulware= transferred cuz Butch Hate
C Jashon Robertson not injured just moved around
RG Trey Smith been there all season not injured
RT Brett Kendrick not injured just moved around

Backups no injuries except k'rojn calbert which was preseason. And chance hall was preseason. The bench had quality reserves in Tatum, Coleman Thomas, Boulware etc. Lot of starts on the bench even. You cant just shuffle guys around playing musical chairs with your O-Line. They have to gel as a unit. Butch does though and has for a while in an arbitrary fashion...why? No one knows.

This OL returned more starts than just qbout anyone in the nation. That means nothing when its a Butch Jones team though.

Look at Jumper, how many starts does he have under his belt? Is that a good thing? Does playing someone with zero upside help anyone....Does it help us win?

I think the problem is how this fan base fooled itself into thinking it would be as good as last year's team.

freshman and sophomores coming off the bench don't magically turn into all-americans.

sheezus.....

So you are saying butch has got us to be the worst in the sec. Is there a worse team in the sec? Thanks butch, you're doing good in year 5.

-Tennessee’s 108 Offensive yards were it’s least in a game for at least 28 years

-During their touchdown draught of 14 quarters, the Vols have gained a total of 561 yards. Alabama gained 604 on Saturday

-Tennessee has been held under 150 yards total offense twice already this season. That didn’t even happen during the lows of the 2008 season (the Clawfence)

-Tennessee ranks last among all Power 5 teams in the nation (289.7 ypg)

-The Vols were 1 of 12 on 3rd down conversions vs the Tide and are now the worst in the SEC in 3rd down conversions

-Tennessee hasn’t scored a red zone TD in 4 conference games this season

-How badly does this team miss Josh Dobbs, Alvin Kamara and Josh Malone? The Vols finished in the top 20 last season in explosive plays (79 plays of 20 yards or more). They have just 19 such plays all season.....good for No. 126 nationally.

John Currie: please be advised of the above^^^
and please stop the suffering ASAP:cray:

If this is the problem it is still Jones fault. His job is also to recruit depth and also what is the reason we seem to have more injuries than other major teams?

Rushing statistics will always be low JG usually cancels his out by sacks or rolling out and running out of bounds for 10 yards loss. He’s usually good for minus 40 yards to subtract from total.
