I agree that it is mostly about the Jimmy's and Joe's. remind me again who is responsible for recruiting said Jimmy's and Joe's.
I think if the players didn't support Dooley we would have a even bigger problem than we do now.
And he's right....I keep reading stuff on here about how our players are good so it must be the coaches' fault, are you kidding? We have 1 great player, and 5 or 6 good players and all but one of them is on offense. Not a single player on our defense would start for Alabama or LSU or Florida or Georgia or South Carolina except maybe AJ. We do not have elite talent, therefore we will not compete with elite teams. Its that simple...throw in the fact that some of our good players are putting themselves in front of the team and playing terrible, and you get the results we are getting. Not saying the coaching is all pro, its just not the only reason we suck hard.
And who is responsible for recruiting these two star diamonds in the rough? We may be the slowest team in the last 25 years. Other than his piss poor coaching, his recruiting philosophy sux's.
this
and this.
i think they could improve on the x's and o's end of things. no doubt about that. but, there are some serious talent issues in certain spots.
these guys watch film. they have to see footage of what's going on. they know there are guys on the team who can't pull their weight.

Sounds nice but I don't buy it. At the end of the day, the coaches have to take responsibility. We have the Jimmys & Joes. It's been the X's & O's that's been getting us beat.
We have X's & O's. We have lifelong professional football coaches. We have a decent training facility. It boils down to the pupil has to dedicate himself to getting better. If he does not, the natural order of things state that the adult is ultimately to blame. That is clear and indisputable. But your life and all things in it are your own fault. If Bray had truly immersed himself in the playbook and also mastered the fundamentals, footwork and techniques a qb uses then Dooley could not have stopped him from being a GREAT player. If Bray does NOT make that personal committment, what can Dooley or Chaney really do? Yell at him? Threaten to tell his dad (whom he is on record saying he doesn't listen too)? If the players have a burning desire to be the absolute best they can be then no one or thing can stand in the way or stop it from happening. Period. If these guys are one step from pro ball like everyone seems to think then they would display a pro attitude towards their own progression and development. Instead of "tweeting" out bs and whining and pouting on the field and the sideline. Grow up and be a man.Jawuan James tweet:

Comparing attitude, Hugh Freeze has pumped Ole Miss and they are winning and recruiting in his first year, I wrest my case, a good coach can make an immediate difference.
It is an interesting dilemma. All I can say is, over the last few years, Dooley has signed more dbs than McDonalds has served hamburgers. Yet our secondary continues to get shredded.
So, there is no possible way that some of our players could actually be the issue, you just want to blame coaching because that is the easiest direction to point your finger, if you blamed the players...they could kick your................
Only a slight exaggeration.
Thought a couple of years back that our sec was gonna be a strength. Couple that with two coaches back there....really puzzling.
First of all, Ole Miss is 4-3 and quite possibly will lose all five of their remaining games. So dont count the chickens yet on Freeze...
Second of all, what did Dooley do his first year? Started off by salvaging a top 10-15 recruiting class during the biggest clown slow of our program's history. He also won 8 games his first year but was absolutely robbed of two of them.
So if your making your case based on a first year, your dead wrong.
My stance is that our program withstood so much turnaround that any coach that was willing to give his all to correct it deserves a full cycle recruiting his own players and implementing his system. For me that means through next season. If we are seriously competitive in the SEC east next year then its time to move on. Just IMHO.
