Some of you so-called "fans" on here..........

Haha. The kid's. But the teacher being a single young lady in her twenties without kids in her first ever class of her own probably needs to temper her expectations. He's a 5 year old boy. I'm sure she'll learn that his growling at her is just his way of e pressing how he feels. 😳

Teacher in her 20s?

I've seen this movie. A few times.

You are nauseating. I've seen you do this type of **** before.

Cancer is a real threat for us all and its impacted everyone who's lived long enough to experience its unfortunate prevalence. That doesn't mean it can never be spoken or referenced.

In addition to your bull**** safe space argument above you also bash any perceived negativity to the Vols as though it's from lesser fans or less intelligent opinion. It's the same tiresome superiority you (and many others just like you -- several of which are in this thread to defend the coaching staff as though the staff is one-and-the-same as the program itself) pose in most of your posts in thread after thread.

I'm baffled at how so many treat you as though you're a sweet little princess whose feelings can't get hurt. Speaking for myself, I'm not a fan of yours. I'll keep my fingers crossed you'll post your better-than-thou dribble less often or maybe start a safe space forum for all you sunshine pumper true fans to bask in the glory that is mediocre CBJ football. Take the OP with you if you do.

This was good until the basketball reference in the last paragraph.

Dude, there's nothing wrong with what you posted, given the context. Don't let these forum bullies influence how you post. If you said the analogy with ill-intent I'd not defend it, but it was an innocent analogy that was contextually fitting.

I've lost family to cancer (haven't we all?) also but that doesn't change anything in terms of your post being appropriate/inappropriate. It's wasn't very considerate but speech shouldn't have to be constrained to the life experiences and feelings of all parties involved. Don't play into that liberal leftist bull****.

Being a married man I'll tread lightly here but let's just say I do t remember my teachers in the 80s being quite so "Van Halen" esque.

In that case, I'll gladly take up your offer and attend the anger management session with your son's teacher. You might want to reschedule the one with your son though. Oh, and the handcuffs are fine but a bodyguard is really unnecessary. Let's let the healing begin!

The majority of oncologists have never been diagnosed with cancer.

2nd or 3rd post below OP calling out "fans", and observing lots on here have no football experience but are bashing none the less.

So LW says what he said. Which can be rewritten:

The majority of doctors specializing in diagnosis and treatment of a particular illness have never had the experience of having been diagnosed it.

Or, folk who are good at fixing something might never had their own "something" need fixing.

Or, Lots of folk might know more about football than the OP is giving credit for.

I do not see peoples' problem with that. I don't see it as an attempt at macabre humor. It's just saying with a simile, clearly, what LW meant.

Everyone, pretty much, has had friends and loved ones pass or currently fighting cancer. My mother, two aunts, two uncles, my father-in-law.
I don't see LW's post in any way minimizing, making fun, being a joke, or ridiculing those with cancer or their families.

I thought, and still do, it was a very good simile.

OP going to protect the coaches at all cost, yet throw all of Volnation under the bus, sure some fans are over the top, but that is what we do. Then OP predicts the VOls to go 8 and 4, if that is the case, then we do have a coaching problem. I think the Vols are on track to go 10 and 2, and everything we have done so far has been to get ready to start SEC play after this week. I think we will see a different team against FL It is the balance of the Posi Vols and nega Vols with those inbewteen that Make Volnation the best website on the NET.

Man, just when I thought we'd blamed Obama for everything there he goes screwing up the world of psychology.

You obviously want to pick a forum fight, clever guy. I have no interest but, by all means, keep blessing us with your strawman arguments and anecdotes.

I stand by my comments that LW was not inappropriate w/ his analogy and that miss VN princess was inappropriate in attacking him the way she repeatedly did. I also don't approve of her (and others) attempt to create a "safe space" on VN with unison happy thoughts. If we looked like a playoff contender maybe the negativity towards any perceived negativity would be warranted.

I guess this makes me angry, huh, dr phil? you have any more thoughtful points on Obama and your son's kindergarten teacher?

Easy brother. You're just coming off awfully aggressive. I prefer intellectual conversations without the insults. We actually had the same stance in defense of LW, and that a particular poster took things a little far, and it's likely we agree on lots of other things. It appears we express them differently. Just having a little fun. Sorry if you got offended.

I would also add that I find it interesting considering the tone of each of our posts you believe it's me trying to pick the fights.

are making me seriously consider not coming back to VolNation. True, we have not looked like world-beaters the first 2 games and I am as disappointed as anyone. But some of you "fans" continue to bash the coaches and players on a daily basis. If you know so freaking much about football, then I encourage you to send Dave Hart your resume immediately....and we all will sit back and watch how its done.

I have been a Vol fan for a long time having grown up in KnoxVegas listening to John Ward's play by play on the radio before many games were on TV. As a student, I rarely missed a game. At the end of the day, I support the Vols 100%...win, lose, or draw. It pisses me off to read some of the sheet some of you post bashing the team, players, and coaches.

Fact is, most of you (me included) never played a freaking down of organized football. But I love the game and I love my Vols. So unless you can become Head Coach, OC, DC, etc and make the team better STHU and support OUR team. I would rather be an 8-4 Vol than a 12-0 Gator, Bulldog, or Bammer any day of the week!

Now lets kick some Bobcat @$$ and then worry about the Lizards. GBO!!

Thanks for this, just confirms the reason I am spending less time on this board...whiners like you.

And the congregation (mostly) says, "Amen"!

A head coach pretty much needs to practice voodoo and weekly visits from Lady Luck to get a team and staff to gel into a playoff team. Heres a pattern for you'all.

You are clueless.

Tell me, in his 4th season with 17 returning starters, most of them JR's and SR's, just when exactly is CBJ's team supposed to put it all together? It's not "lady luck" that determines whether or not a team plays at a championship level. It's recruiting, development, and in-game coaching. Now, actually winning a championship, yes there is some luck involved but I'm not talking about that. I'm simply talking about playing at a championship level and so far we are not doing that! If you disagree then you're not paying attention to the rest of college football.
