Some of you so-called "fans" on here..........

are making me seriously consider not coming back to VolNation. True, we have not looked like world-beaters the first 2 games and I am as disappointed as anyone. But some of you "fans" continue to bash the coaches and players on a daily basis. If you know so freaking much about football, then I encourage you to send Dave Hart your resume immediately....and we all will sit back and watch how its done.

I have been a Vol fan for a long time having grown up in KnoxVegas listening to John Ward's play by play on the radio before many games were on TV. As a student, I rarely missed a game. At the end of the day, I support the Vols 100%...win, lose, or draw. It pisses me off to read some of the sheet some of you post bashing the team, players, and coaches.

Fact is, most of you (me included) never played a freaking down of organized football. But I love the game and I love my Vols. So unless you can become Head Coach, OC, DC, etc and make the team better STHU and support OUR team. I would rather be an 8-4 Vol than a 12-0 Gator, Bulldog, or Bammer any day of the week!

Now lets kick some Bobcat @$$ and then worry about the Lizards. GBO!!

I would rather be a 12-0 Vol

Championship level per whom? Sportswriters and fans? A blind man could see that Dobbs isn't capable of beating a good SEC team with his arm prior to this season and so far he hasn't changed many minds this season. We have holes all over the field, so explain to me how we were going to win "championships" with this team. Simply because it is year 4 in his coaching tenure? I didn't realize that year 4 in a coach's tenure somehow gave them the deserved right to compete for a championship. A lot of coach's would disagree with that assessment.

And the congregation (mostly) says, "Amen"!

A head coach pretty much needs to practice voodoo and weekly visits from Lady Luck to get a team and staff to gel into a playoff team. Heres a pattern for you'all.

Ohhhh please regale us all with stories about your stellar high school, college, and NFL career. Then after the NFL, I am sure you were a coach at several Division 1 teams and probably had multiple NFL head coaching offers.....

I am going to put on some cocoa and make popcorn to enjoy reading about all your gridiron successes. WOW Cannot wait. :finger3:

Before going on a tyrant about u doggin mines football acumen and everybody else who knows more about this than you do .... can u tell me how many times we ran a jet sweep this year? Have we tried 1 time per game w t bird the fastest player we have? Or ..threatened downfield pass earlier? Once the bomb connected w malone opened up everything. Sweep does the same for zone read option. We are pissed because there are some things missing on both offense and d..that even if they dont work u still have to try because it keeps the threat alive. There is reason for being but have been absent from offense. This is why app state linebackers looks so good. They kept creepin in..no weak side threat nothing to threaten deep.

We are undefeated...and all these idiots can do is criticize and try to convince everyone else how the season is already over.

We shouldn't even bother playing the rest of the season out..it's already been decided.

You are the only person talking about the season being over. The rest of us are criticizing the lack of team preparedness displayed in the first two games, the fact that in the 4th year, we still don't have a serviceable oline, and that the overall offense has regressed from last year even with all of the returning starters.

I was "there" with her in February when she spent the last fifteen minutes of her life dying a horrible death from ovarian cancer. Cancer isn't the butt of a joke. Sorry your family is dealing with it. Doesn't make it okay.

It wasn't meant to be a joke. That's how you and others took it.

I simply made a statement.

I don't mean to trivialize anyone's experience, because I've been there too. Hell i'm there now...again...

Outcome of my mother's treatment nonwithstanding, I'm not going to overreact whenever the word cancer is used, let alone when there was no malicious intent in how the word cancer was used.

If the mods want to clean up any posts they deem offensive, that's cool too.

How sad to watch the Vols as a "fan" and never enjoy a win because, after all, if the Vols aren't perfect why bother? I am happy to watch a football game without having to overevaluate or overanalyze every second of every play of every game..And I'm also glad my ego doesn't allow me to have the first thought of knowing how to coach/play for the vols better than those who currently do.. I instead prefer to sit back, enjoy the game and pity those who can't seem to do the same..And for all those who think they have all the answers for everything?? Bless your lil' hearts..

:twocents:

This Exactly, X 1000!! Thanks Scoob!!

100% agree vollygirl.LW has a serious issue if he's ok with using cancer as a joke. I ,and I'm sure many many others on VN, have lost loved ones and friends to cancer. And personally, I consider it a morbid and disturbing attempt at humor when bringing cancer into the mix. My heart goes out to those having to deal with cancer, in or out of your family, and for those who have lost someone to this horrible disease.

Thought I'd drop in and see if the mood had lightened today.
Well, alright then.

Weird that we spend all off-season being impatient to do this again.

Sorry for your loss. Most of us all have someone close to us die from this horrible disease and we need to do something about it

If you're satisfied with 8-4, you're not much of a fan.
Just a spectator.

No, but they go to school and earn a PHD..

Would love to see any football degree any of these jokers have earned..

I'll even accept an associates..

A 6 month certificate? NO?

So you mean to tell me their only qualification is sitting on a couch and eating so many hot wings that they now need cholesterol meds?

Sure, let's compare them to people who spend a lifetime learning to treat and cure cancer..

Never go full retard.......

There are tons of treatments for the various types of cancer. Sugar is the main thing it feeds on.
Each individual responds differently to what type and degree.

Cancer is a huge money maker though. So the field of medicine will never "cure" it until they find a profit in curing it.

This world is so messed up.

Absolutely the big pharma, FDA, and our government are in it for the money. They would never penalize drug companies for there shortcomings because of there lobbyists and the $ they illegally received

As someone in scientific research, this statement, all of it makes me cringe and angry at the same time.

It is what it is.

But yes. The realization of it is depressing.

I have a blood cousin, who is a doctor. Not very close to him, but he could spend hours dicussing the structure of resources $$ to keep medicine the way it is.
