*I like my bread toasted for a PB&J sandwich. I like the crunch of the bread and the PB gets just a little warm and blends with the jelly. I'll also drizzle a little honey on the top sometimes.

*I prefer strawberry jelly for warm sandwiches and grape for cold ones. Plain Lays chips and a glass of milk goes well with any PB&J.

**Pies are not for loving.

Who else has food secrets that they're holding out?

I just got a new one...

I try to eat a cup of beans every day. They're so damn good for you. So I'll make a big pot once a week with either pinto, kidney, or black beans, and then onion and a little bacon grease...so good. The other day, I was eating some black beans, and I saw my kid's goldfish crackers so I threw a few in, and it's pretty damn good. Nice to add a little crunch and in hindsight, it's not that weird that beans and cheese taste good together.

Try Ritz crackers with a slice of sharp cheddar the same size and thickness with a jumbo marshmallow on top after it's been in the oven at 400° long enough to melt the cheese and toast the top of the marshmallow.

Make french toast out of banana nut bread... It's fantastic

Colby cheese melted in the microwave with Ritz crackers and A-1 sauce. Oddly delicious
