I would bet no one who predicted 8-4 thought UT would lead by double digits against 2 top 10 teams and lead by 1 against Alabama late in the 4th.
I know I didn't, and I said 9-3
This is a sign of a young football; team with a good football coach that is growing with the team, time will tell like the 16 season if we are are at 6 and 4 this time next year then we might have a problem the 16 season is the no excuse team or season, time to put up or shut up.
queue the meltdown when we go 1-1 in the next 2 games..
I think focusing on Mizzou is the best decision at this point. I hope the players don't take those guys lightly, Mizzou has OWNED UT in last 3 years... STOCK. LOCK & BARREL.
BREAK THE STREAK.
Anybody see the BU-OU game last night? BU was out of that game because of one injury-the QB. Not a young team, but they never were in it. That's what injuries do to a team and that is what happened to UT early in the season. Every team has 'em but we've had more than our share so I'm happy with where we are. Long way to go to get to where I want to be but it takes time.
For those whose beliefs are that we need a "decent coach", one question:Who are you going to hire three years ago for less than $5million/yr. ?

You're wrong. Oklahoma was simply the better team. They actually play defense. Something Baylor is immune to.
Sorry for my redundant question, OFV, but I've asked the same thing before and to my knowledge, nobody has answered except for the usual Saban, Meyer pipe dreams that NO program could have funded, outside of Harvard.
Some of you are rather slow. Mizzou owned everyone in the east the last couple of years. Thats how you become back to back champs.
But this year, everyone else has owned them. They are 1-5 in the conference for a reason. We should beat them easily of the team that played Kentucky shows up rather than the team thats played the last 2 weeks.
You can look at this glass half full or half empty and both make a whole lot of sense.
Hall full
Tennessee has only lost games to good teams and could have won each of them. With a little bit of luck or the right bounce of the ball, Tennessee could be 9-1 or 10-0 all with a pretty young football team. Tennessee was able to run the ball well for the first time in years.
Half empty
Tennessee found ways to lose. Again. You can put lipstick on the pig all you want, but they pulled defeat out of the jaws of victory. Sometimes in mind numbing fashion because of highly questionable coaching decisions. Worse still, a team that Tennessee hates that most thought would be lucky to be bowl eligible is sitting where Tennessee could be. In addition, the QB still can't throw the football and WR talent has been completely wasted

Did not say BU was ever better, only that injuries play a sometimes big role in game outcomes. Agree that OU plays defense and BU is and has been lacking D,but you cannot take a player out that has put up 400-600 yds. of offense per game and replace him with a freshman and expect the outcome to be better or the same. Hence the reference to UT's situation this year.
