So we're 6-4....

We are close...
We've got a great team of young players and coaching staff.
I told myself I was going to enjoy our success this time around and I believe it will happen.

You've made it very clear endless times that you're a buTch hater but you've also made it very clear that you know nothing about college football and how a really good program is built from the ashes of nothing up to a Championship level.

FYI Mr Know nothing at all...buTch has ONLY 2 recruiting classes that are all his since the 1st class was CDD and buTch and his staff adding what they could really fast before NSD.

The 2 real buTch classes are right now Sophs and true freshmen and lots of them have been well coached up fast and are standing tall and damn near beat Oklahoma, FloriDUHHH and alaBummer, all of which are ranked in the top 10 right now kid.

Some of our good true freshmen like Boulware and Drew Richmond are redshirting, great recruiting is the only thing that allows a team rising from the ashes to finally redshirt some really good, highly ranked guys coming out of high school.

Yes, we had a chance to Win 3 games against what are now top 10 teams and that is solid PROOF of good progress of our program.

HELL YES, it hurts like hell to be so close to being a top 10 or better team but all the realists knew we still had O line problems and we lost some starting O linemen too and losing Maggitt was a huge loss when the heart of our D is suddenly gone for the season.

Several of our WR's have been hurt and that hurt us bad too plus Piggbeing a moron and throwing his football career away as our top WR.

Realistic with solid football knowledge predicted in the Summer that we should be a 8 win team this year and we're right on track for that which IS progress from last year and very good considering how many top 10 teams we almost beat.

I haven't ignored you kid because I like to laugh at you making a complete Idiot of yourself on here.

I really look forward to what you have to say next season and the year after when buTch has 3 and 4 full classes of his recruits on the hill.

I'd damn sure like to be undefeated and ranked # 1 in the country but we're just not there yet with really good backups for depth.

Have a great day wylo, LMAO @ you kid!

#BrickbyBrick...VFL...GBO!!!

And he could have won. Talent was not the problem. Play calling was/is

Who didn't think we would be 8-4 this year? The schedule was set up for a minimum of eight wins just like Dooley's 2012 schedule. That was the consensus projection. Using DAJ's recruiting analysis vs the schedule we should be 9-3. The teams we lost to would not be #7 and #8 if we had beaten them and held on to double digit leads in the 4th quarter. This isn't blasting away but back to back top five classes usually leads to winning seasons. This season is about at the bottom of possible outcomes based on the talent we have vs our competition. The only frustrating part is looking at how special this season could have been.

Yes, this year is a slight under performance. At one game under predictions, Butch is in the company of the likes of Nick Saban and Urban Myer, both who are a game under predictions. In SEC play, Butch is at a net zero performance. Butch is also performing far above a coach like Malzahn, whom many deemed a football demi-god in the not too distant past. Spurrier, whom had a long history as a steady over-performer, quit when he hit -2. Coach Mac at Florida, is a net zero performance (Malzahn was too, his first year).

No, 1 game below is not the bottom of predictions. The standard deviation is about two games in the SEC, and Butch is within the tolerance that I would consider normal.

Also, back to back top 5 classes has led to back to back winning seasons. If you meant it should lead to championship seasons, I'd really like to see your numbers.

what came first ..the chicken or the egg

I thought coming into the season that we were a 7 win team with the outside chance at being an 8 win team for the following obvious reasons :

1 ) Dobbs lack of accuracy . I held hope that it would rectify itself in the off season . It did not , but has improved over the course of the season
2 ) lack of depth and youth along the offensive line . Dooley recruiting 0 offensive linemen as dug a hole that must be dug out of . Another year of recruiting and seasoning are in order
3) freshmen DTs starting and the lack of rotation behind them . If the back ups couldn't beat out the freshmen ...big fall off from the 1's to the 2's. This had everything to do with out late collapses.
4) Freshmen MLB . Terrible early in the season , but had turned into a triumph late in the season

So , if someone missed those very obvious things and had 9 or 10 wins in their head pre-season ...you need to switch to a new method of analytic. All of those issues spell trouble and are difficult to coach around . The good news is that each and every area has seen dramatic improvement

I predicted 8-4 at the beginning of the season and I'm sticking to it. I had Arky and Georgia game flipped in the W/L column, but other then that I got them right so far...

Florida to me was the one "toss up" game where I wasn't sure about a W/L, but due to the past I had to go with the L

...If your expectation for this season had a W next to Florida in a 9-10 win season...you were doing it wrong lol.

who did we lose to that we had better grading in the analysis? Arky? I'm also curious about how we rank compared to Georgia?
