But after all those posts and "arguments", over the course of 3+ years, I have exactly one poster on ignore.....I'll give you one guess who it is.

I know, I know (hand raised). It was the poster that proved you wrong several times in a row and called you out on it.
But I'll give you credit. Once the tide had turned big time and the team was really clicking on all cylinders you changed your tune. LOL

Hence why I used the words "a lot." I'm not saying that their weren't posters calling for Butch's head. My point was, reader lumped a lot of people who were critical of Butch into the fahr butch crowd. Which wasn't accurate.

But using sjt as an example (sorry sjt).
I really admire his debate mentality/skills.
No argument there. But a well written or stat provided post, doesn't make it anymore fair or realistic.
I.e. (NOT VERBATIM and for random example only. No way suggesting he made these particular arguments, just that he could) - He can make an extremely compelling case as to how a great coach doesn't lose games that he is supposed to win - Jones and Arkansas.
He can also make very excellent points about how great coaches win games they shouldn't - We should pull out a win against Bama.
Now sjt could make an excellent case for both and provide examples. But there is an obvious disconnect.
If Butch beats Saban -he should have because he accomplished the "win the game you shouldn't".

The problem is, by the same measure, Saban just lost a game he shouldn't. Which by following the first rule, now Saban isn't a great coach.

So while I really do respect well written posts, that doesn't necessarily make a poster anymore correct.
Or basically, I have seen posters tell sjt "what a well thought out and accurate post", when they agree.
If not, they will call him an uncomplimentary term. Meaning while there is no 100% agreement, the more often someone agrees with our opinion, the more we see them as a "good" poster.

But this is also just an opinion :)

My basic point is that I respect guys like Sjt18 who discuss topics, issues around the program, well written or not...and I'm good with those guys even if I don't agree with their point(s). And if I don't agree, I oftentimes will engage them with a differing view and I try to offer evidence that supports my different opinion. To me, that's all good, that's how this forum should work and that's when it works best.

Conversely, as I've said, I don't like/can't stand (maybe it's just me), guys like ReaderVol who exist on here primarily to go thread to thread and endlessly condescend to a poster because he doesn't agree with his comment or position....no debate, no argument, no reasoning....just a lot of "you suck, you're not a true vol, go pull for Florida or Bama, Smdh, all of you and your 'ilk'". Just my opinion, but that's not how this site should work.

ReaderVol is the most condescending, pot-stirring, abrasive, self-righteous poster on Volnation. Your threads are meaningless and are only used to incite argument. I got no dog in this race but just to be clear;

Most people accusing Reader(and Sjt) of being arrogant are only doing so because they are let's just say on the "not so smart" faction of this board. Of course they are gonna get bent.

Concerning to me is how many smarter people specifically only attack these type of posters but continually allow and apologize for the liquor laden buffoonery that fills this board up.

So in other words I haven't posted those quotes I've been accused of. I said just one. But if defending the players, program and coaches is offensive to you then I'm guilty.

I would tend to think that any true Tennessee fan supports our players wholeheartedly. To criticize and hold the coaching staff accountable is only fair. They are paid to produce results, especially at a program as prolific as ours. You are just sensitive ReaderVol. Your attempts to make yourself look like the best Vol fan on this board have failed yet again. Don't forget to take your Midol.

What's worse is that you quoted me and still misread what I said. I support the players and hold the coaches accountable, like most on here do. ReaderVol just wants to ruffle feathers. It's that simple.

Blair thread is gone and I didn't feel like digging up the Josh Smith stuff so here is a small sample from the recent North thread.

For anyone to say that players don't get bashed on here, is silly. The number of posters that are doing the bashing is way too "many". For reader to call those out that do the bashing I think is a stand up thing to do. For all those that bash him for defending the players, think about what you are supporting or defending, is it the Vols or is Jackwagon behavior.

I support the Vols.

In multiple (meaning many) I have stated and stand by discussing players, program and coaches for their good or bad play/decision making. That's not the issue. Calling names and being derogatory is absolutely unnecessary. There is a HUGE difference in discussing and bashing. Read some of Wylo's posts for a good example.
