I honestly don't know. Dobbs put up solid numbers. No picks. I remember one sack.

But that run game. You don't get 400 yds rushing without an O line push. As hard as we were on them last year it was an overall solid showing.

But is BG good enough to chest thump over ? They are better than I gave them credit for but they are not a AB or UGA or Mizzou pass rush either.

I really don't know what to take from it except it seemed solid and I hope they get better from here.

I would say just see how they do next week.

Considering Chattanooga made them look like a bunch of scarecrows out there last year, I'd say it looks like a marked improvement.

They played well. Even Kelly looked good in mop up.

BG might not be a good measuring stick but just remember that UTC got 4(?) sacks last year. There is obvious improvement.

Exactly!

They did well! BG is a high powered offense. I got a little worried at one point. Debord did a good job of mixing it up...despite the few who were jesting that they should throw more and run less. It was the first game...and BG knows how to play offense.

Who knows how the season is going to go.....but...yes...next week is the real test.

Didn't Chattanooga have a possible NFL prospect on their line and ended up pretty high in their sack total?

How did our oline do in the Arkansas State and Utah State games last year?

It was just Bowling Green, but don't remember a game in recent years that we just ran it down anybody's throat in the second half. We rushed for either 399 or 400 yards depending on the last rush of the game.

Looked BETTER as a whole than the D-Line...

Bowling Green is NO Bama line bull rushing the line and creating havoc in the backfield, BUT>>>>>>>>

They are IMPROVED... world beaters NO!!!! "marked" improvement which is what you want at this point

They were not good against Utah State. 2.8 yards per rush, only 110 rushing yards total, and a couple of sacks. I rewatched that game just a few days ago, and the O-line made me nervous for this game. They by far exceeded my expectations tonight.

You also have to remember Bowling Green graduated like 6 or 7 guys off that Defense, SO......... yeah they were not going to stop grandma, if she pushed hard enough so getting like 500 yards rushing on them might be the same as like 200 against UGA

Still no push on middle runs but that's not our real scheme. Overall they played pretty well against a team that has one of the worst defenses we will see all year

Couldn't agree more. O-Line may have not been spectacular on every play, but overall did what they needed to do tonight.

However the entire defense looked like pieces were missing. Some could be due to Martinez being suspended, some to Martin and McNeil being out, & Kelly getting over that infection.

However, the front seven did not seem to give BG's QB enough pressure. That 4th and 3 play during the second quarter was infuriating. If these guys expect to beat Oklahoma, there is a boatload of adjustments to make this week. Lots of busted assignments, and at times, there seemed to be a complete lack of focus.

This defensive unit should be much better than what they showed tonight. To compete with top tier teams, they need to step up.

After all the bashing give them their due, they played a damn good game regardless of competition.

The only thing I saw from our front seven was Barnett in pass coverage, Bambi Jumper jumping around always out of position and absolutely no pressure. It was very perplexing.

Lots of rushing yards outside the tackle box. Guards pulling, creating space. Overall they did well, but they're still far from a mashing OLine.

Still in wait and see mode, as defensive fronts we face get better.

Did Crowder travel with the team? Raulerson came in with the 2nd team. Thought Kerbyson and Kendrick played well.
