Is it normal to drag it out like this? I don't know. Seems many other programs are getting their vacancies filled. To be fair....some haven't just like us.

I think its safe to say if it's Will Friend...then we got turned down by a few. Cuz if it was him they wanted...they woulda just announced it right away....and if they say they had to think about him all this time....then he wasn't the right choice to begin with...and they'd be saying "I guess he'll work...hopefully". Which would be bad. Let's hope they are just waiting for whomever it is to finish their season.

Unless the OC has some supernatural powers to immediately improve everyone on offense there is no rush to get them in here. Recruiting over Butch's terrible linemen and QB is the only real fix..







also..its probably Will Friend so...Coach is just letting everyone enjoy the holidays before breaking the bad news.

I don't know, Jeremey seemed to appreciate being able to finish a class at Alabama. Loyalty is something that should be treasured. That coach whoever he is appreciates this.

I think Pruitt will really be the oc; meaning the oc hired will just have the title of oc; but pruitt will run the offense and the plays will all be pretty much scripted before the game. And that is why his statement of oc is many times over rated. About 60% run and 40% pass. We will have the same offensive scheme and plays called as this past year. I believe that is what Helton did this past year, he ran what he was told to run, and it was not heltons offense. These reasons are why we didnt get a big name hire, because a big name hire would have wanted to run their own offense. Of course this is only my opinion. And coaches have been successful doing this but they were very good offensive minded hc spurrier and jimbo come to mind.

I dont think we have been turned down by anyone. I do not believe we have made a real offer to anyone that is currently not already on our staff.

If a deal was done, word would have leaked. Secretaries, trustees, lawyers, agents, etc. Beans would have been spilled somewhere along the line. Of it's a verbal, handshake agree to agree kind of thing then it could be kept quiet, but those types of agreements tend to unravel easily.

First part: True

2nd part:. How do we know for sure that Will Friend would not be a good OC? I honestly doubt Cutcliff could do a lot this yr with what we have blocking out there.
